Looking at the lists in the thread, I can only surmise that either most of you are painfully vanilla, or the core relationship issues are the same between vanilla and BDSM...

That's the point, though, intimate relationships don't vary much other than in the particulars (closed loop, open or poly); although in my experience I've found and seen that the degree of bonded D/s intimacy becomes more intense and devotional than in your typical vanilla couple's bonding.

I'll add that the difference with a casual (FWB) set-up is that I personally don't believe you can have an authentic D/s dynamic without the critical component of ownership/loyalty/commitment.
You can *play* at having a Dominant-Top and submissive-bottom dynamic during BDSM play scening, just as you can pretend to be making love to a casual FWB sex partner you aren't in love with, but in either case, this would only be an empty shell of going through the motions, not the real deal.
TRUST would still have to be at the top of the lists with kinky play partners, in terms of consensuality always being honored and possible personal safety issues.

Lying
Lacking communication skills and unwilling to change
Anger issues
Not listening to no
Disrespect
Not enough attention
Saying you love me but actions don't show it

I can check the oil but I'm fucked if I get a flat, or anything needs to happen with the oil.

I plan on just flopping around helplessly until someone helps

Well.....when I was in my 20's I was actually "planning" on learning on how to fix a flat. Then I lost my license and since I didn't have it for 17 years, I figured....why do I need to know how to change a tire? Don't you know.....3 days after my mother gave me her car earlier this summer.....I got a freaking flat!! [:@]

1. Men who don't check and change oil for me[:D]

As far as I am concerned men were put on this earth to help women fix a flat. If I do it myself you have no purpose or use to me.
I do have a thing for handy men or jacks all trades. That's sexy.

[sm=agree.gif] hehehehe....

I'm not interested in learning how to change the oil...although I guess it would be nice....but that's what Jiffy Lube is for....

But I do want to learn how to do emergency stuff....change a tire....jump start....check and refill fluids. But anything that can be done as "scheduled" maintenance.....give it to someone else!

Those steps there are the life of your car. Change the oil religiously! When you stop for gas, check tire pressure, tire wear, and all of your fluids. The pump can do it's job unsupervised allowing you to do those other things.

Jus sayin

I was raised around garages and machine shops. Got sent to check the radiator in the 72 VW bug when I was about 10ish.....sent to find the battery shortly after that.

After that, changing tires and oil seemed so easy.

Be careful... I discovered many times the pump may not shut itself off. Then you're stuck with an awful mess! It's a lot safer to check tires and stuff after filling the tank!
