As most who have seen me post know, I grew up in the greatest city I've ever spent any quantifiable amount of time in; New York City. I'm a fan of several sports and sport teams, amongst them; the New York METS. I've been a fan since 1969 (the summer I turned five-years-old) and have been "with" them through thick and thin (everyone "loves" the Yankees, these days but in the 80s, NYC was a METS' town). As has been the trend since the Yankees first (I believe) did it, some years ago, the METS started their own cable channel - for which subscribers must pay a fee - where you can see almost all of their games. Very few games are broadcast on free TV, anymore. The New York Lottery advertises on the METS' channel (SNY) quite a bit and a commercial they have had for some time has been making the rounds in heavy rotation again, lately. The commercial is a bunch of people (individually, in "man-on-the-street" type interviews) telling viewers the different comical things they've won in their lives (a potpourri collection, oven mitts, etc.). One guy says: "I once won an all-expense-paid trip to Philly (Philthadelphia). Have you ever been to Philly? It's like punishment for winning." Living as I do, now, in Pennsyltucky, that old commercial makes me smile, every time it's on! Screen captures still RULE (as does pissing on shadows)! Ya feel me?
