What the heck is the topic here?

Looks to me like it's the person who started the thread.

I'm still suggesting you pull the dungeon from the scroll, btw.

Well, Stef why don't you tell us what you love about Islamists? Is it their:

- Advocacy of the death penalty for homosexuality?
- Advocacy of female genital mutiliation?
- Penalties for rape victims that include being stoned to death?
- Forcing women to wear burqas or worse?
- Wantonly slaughtering anyone, including other Muslims, who are thereby all infidels?
- Ensuring girls aren't educated in any way?

Then, after you've answered that, please, please tell us exactly why we shouldn't hate them? What precisely is there to admire about them in substance (one could say he admired Hitler because he was kind to animals, and I'm sure one could find one item about ISIS, too -- I don't mean that). I mean substance.

It would be nice to see a substantive reply to this on Stefs part

First, please tell me what an "Islamist" is. Second, please point out where it is I said I loved them.

Good luck with that.

TheHeretic -> RE: Malala Yousafzai (10/11/2014 10:31:34 PM)

It's like fascism, only the women wear hefty bags whether they flatter the figure or not. Lots of stuff most liberals would have a problem with, if most liberals weren't useless tools for the Democrats, and useful idiots for the ideology in question. If you'd like to go do some personal research in Yemen or someplace like that, I'll check the sofa cushions to help with your bus fare to the airport.

It's always nice to see someone redirect than to answer a simple set of questions. You objected to Sanity's stated prejudice against Islamists by writing: "I'm sure that's the kind of thing Tom Metzger whispered in your ear while you were servicing him, but it has about as much to do with the truth as the usual Stormfront crap you spew here. In your hierarchy of hate, are "The Islamists" better or worse than the Z.O.G.?" This is meaningless and pointless misdirection since Sanity is not a neo-Nazi nor does he support Z.O.G. Since the topic of dealing with the evil of Islamists (whom you now don't seem to know how to define) is too hard for you, you change the subject to Z.O.G. I doubt anyone here is an adherent of Z.O.G. So your misdirection failed. Next time if you want to use magic, perhaps you should consult with Penn & Teller, although, wait, they hate Islamists too. Damn, life sucks sometimes.

(For those wondering what the hell Z.O.G. is, allow me to quote from Wikipedia: "Zionist Occupation Government or Zionist Occupied Government (abbreviated as ZOG) is an antisemitic conspiracy theory that holds that Jews secretly control a given country, while the formal government is a puppet regime.[1]
The expression is used by antisemitic groups such as white supremacists in the United States[2][3][4][5][6][7] and Europe,[8] ultra-nationalists such as Pamyat in Russia, and various far-right groups, including some in Poland.[9])
The word "Zionist" in "Zionist Occupation Government" should not be confused with the ideology of Zionism, the movement for support of a Jewish state in the Land of Israel. As the conspiracy theorists chiefly name countries outside that area, the usage of Zionist in this context is misleading, and intended to portray Jews as conspirators who aim to control the world,[2] as in the forged Protocols of the Elders of Zion.[10]")

I said that the people I was living with just happen not to drive over 30mph no matter where they go.

What thread was that in so I can go back and prove your right?

I don't remember the thread, but I do remember he said (paraphrased) the reason he left the USA was because you HAD to drive so slow, the speed limit was 40 MPH (I think) and then when called on that statement tried to prove it by saying his friends never drove over 30 mph

at which point I posted a speed limit sign and a document regarding speed limits

Ah, at last the racist reveals himself.

One of us, or one of them.

Forget the right wing, you're just an asshole. Actually, don't forget the right wing, it's stupid narrow minded bigoted cunts like you who keep the slightly less moronic right wingers from getting any real power.

Never thought I'd say this but hooray for sanity and his idiot friends!

Now wait for the cut and paste, lol

for him to be a racist he'd have to be against a race, Islam is not a race, its a political ideology pretending to be a religion...

if being against a certain political movement/party is racist then you are as racist as he is with your hatred of republicans

OPPPPSSSSS

someone pointed out earlier that Islam and Islamist are different, but NOOO not really, from the very beginning the philosophy of Islam has been to subjugate all others, that's a political party, even if they do say "god told me to do it"

I'm not saying that liberals are blameless, but you and some of the others here are so one-sided in your criticism, as if you believe that conservatives can do no wrong whatsoever.

There are plenty of governments around the world which can be characterized as oppressive and "like fascism" (as you put it), although their track record indicates that conservatives are extremely selective and inconsistent in picking and choosing which oppressive regimes they'll oppose versus those they'll support. That's where conservatives lose credibility, making their charges against liberals as "useful idiots" as completely without merit or substance.

You admit it was the taliban, yet in the above post claim that banning public carry of guns would have stopped it.

I made no such claim... not in those definitive words.
I said: "our laws would almost certainly have prevented it" because the guns wouldn't have been readily available.
Nice twisty spin on words... but not my words.

quote:

ORIGINAL: thishereboi
If the taliban is that good about obeying laws why not simply ban them from killing people. Using your logic that would solve everything.

Removing a deadly weapon from public places and the general populace is a completely different thing to telling a group of terrorists that they must not shoot or behead people.

I also think it's cute as hell that you think they took her to England because she couldn't have gotten as good care if she had been brought here. Couldn't have anything to do with it being closer now could it.

Nope. it was stated by the media and government officials as well as the immediate medical crew that attended her at the time.
Sorry to burst your bubble.

Gosh you are correct you didn't say banning public carry of guns would have stopped it you said "Ban public carrying of guns and she wouldn't have gotten shot. " but honestly I don't see much difference between the two. And again I really don't think the taliban would care if the weapons they used were banned.

Also going to call bullshit on the claim that the people you stayed with never went over 30 mph but I suppose its possible that you don't understand what mph even means. It would explain a lot.

Who is Metzger, what is Stormfront and zog, and why are you such a crazy, rabid, homophobic bitch?

Stormfront is a Neo-Nazi org, I believe. Just another backhanded way of calling you a Nazi, when it fact there are numerous Islamists who openly admire Hitler.

Yup and this being the fiesty section I am not sure why she didn't just flat out call him a nazi. But stef also did go for the dramatic. It's probably why she threw in the stab about him servicing Tom Metzger. Kinda reminds me of high school when the worst thing you could call a guy was a cock sucker. Of course most grow out of that and realize homophobic slurs are not appropriate but there are always some that never get it.

I started the thread with news of how a young woman named Malala Yousafzai, who was shot in the head by Islamafascists for insisting that females have the right to an education, received a share of the peace prize this year

Its drifted a bit, and now its about Islamafascists generally with a touch of Ebola and some back and forth about Nazis and such

Why do you ask

I think it is awesome that she got the prize. It may not erase the horror that she lived through but it might help her understand that she has a lot of people all over the world standing behind her.

Lucylastic -> RE: Malala Yousafzai (10/12/2014 6:31:45 AM)

She does boi, and she has since she was shot in the head at least by most compassionate people.
Not simply since she was given a prize that most on the right have claimed is a " pointless prize" all of a sudden who are claiming its worthy again
Pardon if some of us find it hypocritical
Not to mention, where were they standing, when another woman got shot in the head, by a homegrown terrorist.
Because of what she was...Or is this simply because Malala is a child...

What the fuck crawled up your ass this morning? I make a comment about this being a good thing and all you can do is pull our more bullshit about those evil asses on the right. I would expect this from a number of trolls on the board but I thought you were better than that. I guess I was wrong.

Lucylastic -> RE: Malala Yousafzai (10/12/2014 6:54:14 AM)

Nothing crawled up my arse... I was agreeing with you.
You guess some really stupid things ..... you should keep your guessing to a minimum until you read more carefully,
Have some on the right (on this board) called the peace prize pointless(or words to that effect?) in the past?
because of who won it?
Why shouldnt I or others find the OP hypocritical? not to mention sickening with the pretense to give a shit?
I remember jokes about the woman being shot, being a vegetable and worse, no care that she was an american. Shot by a terrorist.
Here on this very board... check it out.
Trolling?
nah, contempt for their hypocrisy and bullshit is different to trolling.
But you keep up with the buzzwords.
hope it helps your butthurt.

In that case maybe next time you agree with someone you could leave out the rest of the bullshit and just say what you mean. And I can honestly say I don't remember anyone on the forums making jokes about her being a vegetable. Maybe you could hook us up with some links.

Beside the recognition, a pretty nice wad of cash comes with the award, too.

They will share the prize money of £690,000 (8m kronor or $1.11m).

The previous criticism of the Nobel committee giving Barack Obama a Nobel Peace Prize for having done nothing more than being a Democrat candidate for president of the United States is arguably very justified. He hadn't proven that he wasn't George Bush yet, he just read pretty speeches off of his teleprompter, and now even a far left poster here says he is George Bush, you know? So the prize was given out purely for political reasons, hardly for the ideal it once was supposed to stand for. Which that makes the Nobel committee look bad, as opposed to their critics.

And I addressed your concerns in the OP, Lucy, when I wrote that "Perhaps the Nobel committee is trying to redeem itself."

Your side drew criticism over the "homegrown terrorist" who you mention because leftists claimed he was a conservative, and he turned out to be a leftist "terrorist" as you say

Much deserved criticism, again

But then, Sanity is neither classical liberal nor conservative.

I will say though that you have some room for argument in that I'm not fully sure what you mean when you say 'conservative republican', but if it's what I think then it doesn't apply to Sanity.
