ORIGINAL: DarkSteven OP, your answer is geared toward relationships. I tried relationships with much younger women twice and they both failed early because we could not relate to each other. If the young lady keeps in contact with her age-peers, I am not aware of what's happening in the worlds of 20somethings. That said, as far as casual nonsexual play at parties goes (bondage, spanking, etc.), I find that my age is an advantage. Young women feel that my age and experience is a plus when playing, and women my age and older feel much more comfortable with a geezer like me. Life is good. [:)] This. Playing is one thing, a relationship another. I've had relationships with a 16 year difference both ways (not a rule, just happened that way). And ultimately, we were just too different. As we grow older, though, the gaps shrink -- 5 years is HUGE when you're 13 and 18, while nothing when you're 40 and 45. My girl and life partner is 12 years younger. We don't even notice the difference, but that's because we have an extraordinary amount of things, particularly life outlooks/philosophies, in common. It's easy and comfortable. Yes it does shrink (the difference inherit in a large age gap) but for me at least it has widened once more. My Owner is 15 years older than me. When I was forty, his fifty-five was nothing.. just my awesome slightly older Owner. Now however I'm half a year shy of fifty, he is now sixty-five and he is slowing down. I'm not slowing down. I can't help but think to ten years in the future, I will be not quite sixty but he will be seventy-five. I've a dread about the future that I didn't have in years past. I feel like I'm coming into my rather late prime while he is exiting his prime.
