Why do Dominants use the adjective Dominant incorrectly (what are they thinking)?
Here's a profile I read today, for example (where I removed identifying information):
quote:

I am a Dominate woman ...I am married to a Dominate Male ...

I am sorry, but I had to remove the post that had a copy of another members profile, even though the ID wasn't there. It gave too much information and someone could recognize it.

I think people will understand what you mean without the proof. We all have seen it repeatedly.

For the very same reason that people abuse, their, there and they're. To, too and two. Your and you're.

They either do not know the form of the word, or they do not care, or both.

Why? Bad use of our language.

Why else?

You can't imagine someone would do that on purpose.

Because they don't know any better.

If proper use of grammar is important to you, consider it a filter.

That, or its a way to weed out people who think that misusing a word makes someone stupid, or not "worthy" of being their dominant. It's easiest to spot them when they make a thread about it. I wish I'd thought of it. That seems like a person I wouldn't want to know.

Totally off topic here, but are you related to Illy----[partially redacted because I shouldn't spell out this other California male sub's screen name]? (MistressDarkArt will know what I mean.) Perhaps separated at birth?

Because I'm wondering if there aren't going to be threads coming up next about Why don't more women ask for facesitting? and Do women want to grope men as much as men want to grope women?

1. They aren't. Thinking, that is.

2. Penises can't spell or utilize proper grammar/pronunciation.

Ooops. Sorry. I did obfuscate, but I guess not well enough.
It was only posted, as you said, to prove that I wasn't making it up.
I guess you've all seen it before.
Seems strange to me, as the use isn't even close.

Possibly because English is not their first language? This site is available globally.

I personally hate that. I, however use my Mobile device and use swype to text. That makes me sometimes use "your", when I mean "you're" , because it doesn't register the E. I also never proof read anything unless it's of some real importance. I do not believe using dominate instead of Dominant has anything to do with texting however, it has more to do with intelligence

Because English probably isn't their primary language and/or it is another poorly written Nigerian scammer.
