Also, just cause I'm a shit stirrer:

A) the prosecutor's father was a cop killed by a black man
B) it is really uncommon and nearly unheard of having the accused give witness testimony at a grand jury, especially at the length Wilson did.

You shit stirrer, you. [;)]

My question though, is this... if it's not against the rules of the particular grand jury proceeding, why would this be an issue?

I would assume that the Fifth Amendment applies to a GJ proceeding. So if someone decides to waive that, what's the big deal of him testifying?

The accused usually doesn't testify before a Grand Jury because with the rules of a Grand Jury it puts them at a major disadvantage. Wilson is to be commended for being willing to take on that disadvantage.

The grand jury saw all of the facts, heard all of the witnesses and judged that the law man had acted properly in defending himself from the violent street thug who was proven the felonious aggressor in this case

Why is everything so leftist hate with you??? [8|]

Anyways, the officer didn't get his day in court.
This is what the people wanted and didn't get.
He was absolved behind closed doors without a judicial hearing and that is what the people are up in arms about.

Your rightist clowns are just as bad in many other ways.
But like a good little sheeple.... you swallow it, wholesale. [:D]

Again you fail to comprehend, the court system did it's job.

But. . . but. . . we did not have a SHOW trial. . . like the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Or Uncle Joe.

And almost as bad they didn't just turn Wilson over to the mob and let them decide what was "justice".

Troubling but understandable....
just fucking wow
Q.....killing 12 year olds carrying an airsoft is understandable?
A...only in merrica
when does it become more than just troubling????

And you can tell an Airsoft gun that's had the orange tip popped off from a real one quickly enough to keep someone from getting shot if it's not a toy?

Lucylastic -> RE: The Grand Jury has decided in Ferguson (11/26/2014 10:38:05 AM)

Its ok, you dont get it, its just my opinion. but I did ask a couple of questions...
so its ok to kill a 12 year old for having an airsoft?
AND
When does it become troubling?

The cop told him to put his hands up and he pulled the gun. How many people who think the cop[ should have waited would have in his position?
And who removed the plastic tip.

Hmmm, I'm pretty sure I started off by saying that it was troubling. As to your second question, I never said it was ok, just understandable. So maybe you can stop trying to put words in my mouth?

So, are you going to answer my question? How exactly do you expect the police to know with 100% accuracy whether something is a toy or a gun, especially when the toy is made to be an exact replica of an actual gun? Is that just a kid playing with a toy, or a gunman about to open fire? It's really a no-win situation, odds are someone is going to die and the police will get blamed for it.

Most likely, the kid did it himself. That's not meant as victim blaming, I certainly would have when I was younger.

Don't forget that the airsoft gun had been altered to look like a real one.
If there is something to be outraged about it is bad parenting.
The parents allowed him to alter the gun, or did it for him.
They allowed him to take it to the park unsupervised.
They didn't teach him that when a cop tells you to put your hands up you do it.
None of this makes it ok, just, as you say, understandable.

its called being sure before taking the life of someone..shooting 12 year olds , damn straight I want the cops to be more fucking careful, there have been a huge rash of killing of kids, so when just when does it become troubling enough to DO something about it , and say its WRONG.
how is it even understandable????

Actually, my last few words were cut off, because I had the last part highlighted for a typo, it was supposed to read "when does it become troubling enough to DO something about it", so Im not putting words in your mouth at all. my bad,

And it shows. in your attitude.

It was to avoid the practice, or appearance of favors for friends, and harassment of enemies.

BTW I was in supply, I wasn't an officer, as I have said several times.

Community policing works as has been established in cities across this country since it was first tried in Madison WI in the late 60's. LEO's not residing in the community they police does not work. You can see the difference right now in Ferguson and all over the country.

Funny, because we used community policing.

No you didn't. The force may have pretended that they did but one of the basic tenets of community policing is the LEO's live in the community and not outside it.

Why? He testified under a grant of immunity. Nothing he said in the grand jury can ever be used against him. The DA rolled out the red carpet for the guy.

You have repeatedly stated that the force wasn't allowed to live in the community therefore calling whatever they did community policing was a sham.
