Once again last night my Master confirmed to me that He will never seek to introduce others into O/our relationship.  i have never asked for this, but i find it wonderfully reassuring.

In past relationships i have always accepted that my Dominant wanted more (even if it never came to fruition).  On some levels this made me a little sad - like no matter how much i gave it wasn't enough.  Or worse, if my Dominant wasn't taking good care of me the addition of another could only make matters worse for me.  On some levels it excited me because i also enjoy the touch of another woman.

The explicit and very firm confirmation that i am Master's one and only is one of the factors that is bring me more happiness in a relationship than i have known before.  i also believe that the level of trust and security that this creates will allow me to more deeply explore my submission than i ever have before, which is exactly what W/we both want.

How have others here found that the one vs. many (or just more than one) dynamic changes things in a relationship?

Insecurity comes from not feeling wanted.

I'm not going to rule out taking on another, but that doesn't make a slave disposable.

I have never found it to be an issue personally. I dont relate well to poly so I dont necessarily look for men who are looking or are even interested in that. This is not to be mistaken for being monogomous as I have been with doms who have played with other subs and this does not bother me. Its the 1) relationship factor and 2) bisexual factors that are not a good situation for me. What I love is over the last couple of days I have actually told one "potential" dominant that I was not interested in persuing things because he had on his seeking list "poly relationships" If you check out my profile, its on my hard limits list LOL.. but the funny part about it (to me anyways) was when I told him that was why, I got back from him.. "oh I didnt even realize that was there" I think to some dominants it sounds like a great idea but when they actually start  working with submissives find we are a handful and they only have two hands..LOL

And before anyone flames.. this is MHO only....<grins at the need to put that there>

JessieMe are you saying it takes two hands to handle a whopper?

That was quite an assumption there Caretakr.  i think there is a very big difference between wanting (or discovering) that a strictly monogomous is best for a person and being insecure.

I've been in situations where I've served with more then one slave. While it sounds difficult when first presented it either works itself out quickly or blows- up altogether. A pecking order soon presents itself among the slaves, If the Master/Mistress allows petty jealousy & bickering to occur it'll soon be a disaster. It takes a very strong Master/Mistress [or both] to control the situation

My past problems with poly were when a girl was too caught up in her own needs to care more for the family than herslf-that was insecure.

Nodding. I don't allow fighting in the family. No one gets precendence over MY authority by playing pole postion games amoung themselves.

The winner in that gets shown the door.

with me, if my Dom ever wanted to take on another sub, not just play, i do not think i could handle it.  To me, i should be treasured not one of many.  i am His sub and wife, outside of play once in a while, i do not find it appropriate.  Just my opinion however, i have nothing against people involved in poly relationships, they just really arent for me.
