The terrorists and those on the extreme right who stand against them do have one, very crucial, aim in common: to get everyone else to see the world as they both do: as one mass population of 'right-thinking good people' against another mass population of 'wrong-thinking bad people'.

Yep and they both use barbaric acts of violence to chase that goal but just like the west, most of the middle east are just ordinary people being traumatised pawns in warfare fought for objectives they don't share, for religion they'd prefer to ignore, for a revolution they want no part of.

Now I don't want to misread this so let me ask. By both, do you mean the terrorists and those on the extreme right ? When you say the west, does that include the US ? Do you mean just like the terrorists, even the *extreme right* is traumatizing ordinary people in warfare, religion, and revolution ? If I got your meaning right......uh, I mean correct, where are extreme righties shooting people for poking fun at their religion ? Where and when have barbaric acts of violence perpetrated by the extreme right taken place ? Where is the extreme right fostering religion on people or trying to start a revolution ?

Can't we just leave left and right out of this ?

See what you started Peon ? [8D]

Millions and millions were murdered and viciously terrorized, tortured and persecuted by leftist regimes such as the USSR, China, Vietnam, and Cuba etc

But thats not "the right"

Shouldn't that have been "Oh yeah, sorry - I misread your post, sorry about coming across like a stupid stain"?

Please learn to read, you do this shit all the time.

It was easy enough to misread so I'll save my apologies for something more egregious.

If it makes you feel superior to imply I'm a stupid stain than so be it.

I do not misread shit all the time. In fact, I can't remember the last time I misread anything if at all. But if you show me where I have done this all the time or at least more than once, I'll apologize to you for sayin yer full of shit.

OOPs never mind-----my apologies

According to deranged leftist freaks, sure

Musicmystery -> RE: 12 dead in Paris (1/8/2015 6:12:20 AM)

Oh. I didn't realize you had become a deranged leftist freak now.

You should change the description over your avatar then.

It's an unusual position, though, for a deranged leftist freak, to justify fundamentalist religious violence by noting historical incidences of communist violence. It sound a lot more like something a simplistic rightist would say.

But I'm glad there's no problem.

And yano they're going to say that it's not the left either[8D]

Musicmystery -> RE: 12 dead in Paris (1/8/2015 6:16:21 AM)

Yanno, they're not.

They are going to point out that it's a silly argument, though.

Its only in your confused head that I am justifying anything, moose

MariaB is preaching about how "the right" goes about acting like the Islamists do, terrorizing and mass murdering anyone who doesnt bow to the ideology... I am simply pointing out that its the exact opposite that is true

Its you leftists who are so exactly like the Islamists

Paris attack raises fears of more support for Europe's right
Associated Press
http://news.yahoo.com/paris-attack-raises-fears-more-support-europes-124400830.html

BERLIN (AP) — The deadly shootings in Paris are prompting concerns that a fledgling anti-Islamist movement and far-right parties may be able to harness the reaction to gain support in Europe.

German Justice Minister Heiko Maas said Thursday the way two right-wing parties and the PEGIDA movement are "trying to exploit this attack for their own purposes is disgusting."

Marches in Dresden by PEGIDA, or Patriotic Europeans against the Islamization of the West, have grown steadily over three months. Organizers were quick to comment on the attack, posting on the movement's Facebook page the killings were "grist for our mill."

PEGIDA marches outside Dresden have been small, with the numbers of supporters dwarfed by the numbers of counter-demonstrators. Austrian supporters of PEGIDA are now planning their first demonstration within the next month.

his post was aimed at Bama, not you,
but if the crap fits

Well......uh no, the crap doesn't fit but in the future I'll learn to read the fine print[8D]

learn to read....its not the first time in this thread you have misplaced your bile

Crap on your bile Lucy. So I made a simple mistake not reading the fine print.

On Peons post, it wasn't at all misplaced. I explained in a civil manor what the confusion was, he clarified it and I'm satisfied. Maybe you should learn to read too. Not to mention this thread really has nothing to do with left vs right.

I wonder just how much the whole PEGIDA thing is a media beat up. Apparently in Germany last week, people attending counter demos that promoted tolerance and acceptance out-numbered the PEGIDA people by about 10 to 1.

Also I note the reactions of French people to the Charlie Hedbo outrage (or at least those reactions I have seen in various media) have emphasised both defiance against terrorists and toleration. We saw a similar reaction here in Sydney to the recent siege.

Yes people are both angry and defiant against extremists but are careful to direct their anger against the tiny minority of extremists responsible - not Muslims as a whole - and to highlight their values of tolerance and diversity too.

Leave it to the AP to fear "the right"

To lump the far extreme right in with everyone who doesnt march in lockstep with Chairman Mao

Media bias aside, one would think that at some point even the most extreme bleeding heart leftist fools will begin second guessing their fondness for so casually importing throngs of Islamic fundamentalists

Ironic you post this Sanity given that lumping all Muslims in with the extremists is exactly what right wingers like you do.
