Normally you can find people by asking, or asking for a reference. Also put on your profile what you are and are NOT looking for...i know i wanted 24/7..therefore the Doms that wanted to play didn't get a 2nd chance. If they have a yahoo360 profile look at how many friends they have listed on it, that might tell you something too. Ask around about the person, the bdsm community is very small and you would be surprised who knows who.
Also, when it comes to "fake" Doms that is a personal statement, one person can say fake, another can say he was perfect. It has to do with finding the right person who has the same kink/perversions as you do, also the same bdsm ideal. Also look how long they have been in the lifestyle and how many slave/subs they have owned or released. BTW, ask why they were released? that will give you additional info, too.
