How long does the stupid spam filter disabling last? This so ridiculous. It's acting like I just frigging copy and paste messages or something. That thing is way too sensitive. And I can't even message a MODERATOR. At the very least, I should be able to ONLY to reach an admin/mod. This is ridiculous

I'm not sure that anyone really knows other than whomever set the filter up. I think it is a couple of days. When you have a new account and mail a lot of people, the filter will go off and that is there to protect members from someone spamming them. We do try to stop some things from happening, but no one really can. It's the net.

I know you got my email and hopefully you understand what I was meaning and can post something that works. What happened was totally my fault in not emailing you. That has been on my mind all night. If you have a question you can ask me here if you like and it isn't too personal for you. I'm really sorry, you are having such a rough time and know how frustrating it must be to have a mod make a mistake and then hit the spam filter. I'm really sorry.

I just don't understand what the spam filter is looking for. I understand it is to protect from spam, but when it's starting to affect your real members, it's a little ridiculous. I've run two forums, and had spam guards on both, so I know there has to be a way to tone it down a bit. I thought maybe my messages are too similar, so I started REALLY changing them up. and it still snagged me. This is really REALLY annoying. One day on, two days off is not cool. I'm not mad about the email issue. But something really needs to be done about this spam filter. It's ridiculously sensitive.

If the people receiving your mail mark it as spam, then enough of those will also activate the filter, as I understand it.
So if you aren't reading profiles, if you're writing people when you don't fit their parameters, then this will cause them to so mark your mail.
