Those guys said that, but not the guy who introduced the bill of rights, nor the guys who wrote the constitution.

But all those guys have an opinion just like you. And they are wrong.

I guess you've never heard of the Kentucky Assault Rifle

I thought that was just a convention agreed upon by some, though not all, people.

Of course there are dead people lying all over the place before you see a need for that particular citizen's second to be removed.
Maybe the rest of us are sick and tired(I know....you care too )of waiting for that to happen......again and again (rinse wash, repeat)and again.

It seems like in most of the places with strict gun control that you love so much there are more dead people lying around than the places without it.

ETA just for mnot, I meant here in the US.

I value intelligence above everything else in deciding attractiveness.

Well that raises a couple of interesting questions. Do you consider yourself attractive?

And does anyone else agree with you?

And here is where I tell another poster to go .....fuck yourself.

Tut. Stop thinking outside of the box (which, in this case, means 'outside of the USA').

Those localities with strict gun control laws are surrounded by invisible fences ?
If not,how do you propose they stop assholes from wandering in from neighboring locales ?

Shoot them

If these localities didn't have strict gun control then assholes wouldn't wander in.

I point out again, one of the states (e pluribus unum) with a pretty good massacre rate: i.e. Colorado, is not a strict gun control 'locale', but the wrong fuckers were shot there most days, hah?

That does it,you have confirmed you are indeed an asshole.
The point went right over your head didn't lit.
Local ordinances are useless as long as one idiot can buy 30 handguns in Virginia and run them up to his friends in New York.
Are you really to dense to see that ?

I believe I picked up on that. What part of "If these localities didn't have strict gun control then assholes wouldn't wander in" didn't you understand ?

Edited to fix punctuation for the grammar Nazi.

Hey, Californias gun control is right out of St. Wrinklemeat.

what exact 'gun control' does california have that causes this? Same for Illinois. It would have to be the contrapositive of say Colorado, Idaho, Texas and so on, where they dont have strict gun control but the same occurs.

So maybe it aint the gun control.

It may be the law and its attendant execution is flawed.

And maybe the 1911 has 7 safeties

Makes me wonder why places with very little gun control and lots of guns don't seem to be having the same problems or at least to the extent you imply.

No, firearm ownership is not a Constitutional Right (at the individual level).

The whole of the Bill (of Rights) is a declaration of the right of the people at large or considered as individuals ~Albert Gallatin

The great object is that every man be armed ~Patrick Henry

The best we can hope for concerning the people at large is that they be properly armed ~Alexander Hamilton

As discussed earlier, the "militia" itself referred to a concept of a universally armed people, not to any specifically organized unit. When the framers referred to the equivalent of our National Guard, they uniformly used the term "select militia" and distinguished this from "militia". Indeed, the debates over the Constitution constantly referred to organized militia units as a threat to freedom comparable to that of a standing army, and stressed that such organized units did not constitute, and indeed were philosophically opposed to, the concept of a militia... The conclusion is thus inescapable that the history, concept, and wording of the second amendment to the Constitution of the United States, as well as its interpretation by every major commentator and court in the first half-century after its ratification, indicates that what is protected is an individual right of a private citizen to own and carry firearms in a peaceful manner. ~Report of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Subcommittee on the Constitution

The Court reached this conclusion after a textual analysis of the Amendment, an examination of the historical use of prefatory phrases in statutes, and a detailed exploration of the 18th century meaning of phrases found in the Amendment... Finally, the Court reviewed contemporaneous state constitutions, post-enactment commentary, and subsequent case law to conclude that the purpose of the right to keep and bear arms extended beyond the context of militia service to include self-defense. ~S. Doc. 112-9 - Constitution of the United States of America: Analysis, and Interpretation

What happens when Americans say "No More"?

Like with slavery? Segregation? Women not allowed to vote? The McCarthy Hearings? The Vietnam War? Lying Tobacco Industry? Americans with Disabilities? GLBT rights? Gay Marriage?

For every school shooting, every massacre, every workplace explosion, and every street rocked by violence; firearms are being outdated. More and more people stop giving a shit about your viewpoints and say in one collective voice "NO MORE!". An that is when the 2nd gets heavily modified or nullified. History and time are on my side. There will no doubtfully (and unfortunately) be more school shootings, massacres, workplace explosions, and streets rocked by violence. And more Americans will be tired of the bullshit and excuses. They wont care what you think a right is or isnt. They vote too!

Patrick Henry had a recorded 78 slaves. Different culture, different viewpoints, and a different age. Do you support black slavery there Kirata? I'm sure there are a few on here who would....REALLY...like to know that. I'm a white guy, so I'm not one of them.

And it does.They were named.

It would make you wonder because as a non-sequitur, you have no proof of that being the case, any causality linked to it, or any data for it that would indicate a causality.
