unwantedsub -> Thoughts on strapless heels (3/27/2015 9:14:14 PM)

So I thought this would be the best place to post... for females but I guess if men want to weight in on the subject.

I can't figure out how women keep them firmly attached to their feet as they walk? Keeping low to the ground and taking baby steps when moving seems for me anyways as the only way for them to stay firmly attached to my foot. But I have seen women take heels in stride without the concern of them falling off and I am wanting to find out what the trick is to keeping them on my feet.

I have tried the single sided adhesive gel pads. Placing them at the back of the heel and that worked until the adhesive basically gave way and fell off along with the heel following off my foot. Kind of a silly question but hopefully someone can school me on this very troubling issue. XD

Always make sure your shoes fit properly.
Try spraying your feet with hairspray. Keep it in your purse for touch ups.

Yeah I have that problem too... for me it's mostly foot shape(I have duck feet) and most staples are built with really wide heel areas, I use bandaid to cushion the sides as a quick fix, just pad it enough to get traction and step delicately, though if it try to run they still fall(and its hot do as well) a more permanent solution it shots elastic :D in the back of the heel glue/tape/staple/whatever you have around a piece of elastic on the inside, to the side of where the back seam would be(if your shoes have one) stretch it shots side out and attach it shots side to to the other side(on the inside side of the shoe about halfway height wise) wah la! You have a makeshift hidden strap.... I've also done this with rubber bands because I'm ghetto and must fix things immediatelyonce they bug me.

Fit is critical.

Also, there is a trick to stepping on tip-toes and grabbing a bit with your toes as you walk while flexing, so your shoes pop up against your feet.

To be fair, many are just designed poorly.

Ive been wearing heels since I was 13, one thing Ive learned in the past 40 years is that I did NOT learn how to make five or four inch , strapless heels look good.
I need the support around my feet.
At my age now, with wide feet, heels are starting to be a pain in more than my feet.
Now Id go for barefoot sexy:)

Soyokaze -> RE: Thoughts on strapless heels (4/14/2015 5:19:30 PM)

I always avoid strapless, but I imagine as others said, fit is critical. Hell, fit is critical in any heel. I can walk like I'm barefoot in 5 inch heels with 3 inch platforms if they fit me really well.

I'm fairly sure the answer is superglue. However I was born short and low to the ground so I believe I'm meant to stay that way.

An common known misunderstanding.

A woman´s High-Heels are not made for walking.

They are made for a Woman to sit in, and maybe also to lay in bed in.
To be, and look beautiful and sexy in.

From and to a place, sneekers will do the job better to move a woman:)
As Gatsxx told me in NYC87.

Pretty much all I wear are strapless heels. (Or boots. But in warmer weather, strapless heels.) I don't really have too much trouble with my foot coming out of them, but I have a very specific style shoe that I buy. Definitely wide enough around the front foot area to comfortably support my foot without squishing it. And the shoe also has a good amount of supportive material up front. Maybe this is what holds my foot in more completely? They're also always open-toed. Don't know if that matters. But I never wear something that is just a strap or two up around the ball of my foot. There's always something substantial going on there. :)

I fell off a pair of flat sandals the other day....my feet were hot, i was standing on a hill and turned around...fell ass over bosom and tore a ligament in my knee and badly bruised my hip. bloody shoes, Im going to go barefoot for the rest of the summer.

spellslave -> RE: Thoughts on strapless heels (7/26/2015 10:34:31 AM)

I avoid strapless heels - all of the heels that I own of varying heights all have at least one, if not two, straps to them. There's one pair of stilettos with two thin straps that I can walk comfortably in for hours so, that's my 'ideal' heel that all others get measured up to and compared to.

I am formulating some theorems bare (no one likes bear) with me.

Shoe magnetism it’s called - where women’s feet and shoes exhibit a magnetic attraction. Exploiting a subcategory, malarkey shoe-component of one of the four fundamental forces (as we currently know them).

They will them to stay on. Neatly explaining women's Strong hulk like will. In fact I myself have borne witness to women willing them of the shelves at the shop of many shoes straight on to their feet - quite a considerable feat.

They have befallen head over heels in love with said shoes and nailed them to their feet.

They were two sizes to small but on sale and enchantingly beautiful and henceforthwithish made them fit - Neatly explaining women's stubborn streak.

MistressAubreee -> RE: Thoughts on strapless heels (9/13/2016 11:29:35 PM)

If you can, have the shoes have straps. This way, your foot is literally "strapped in". Also, point your toes up while you walk, this helps keep the show on as well.

Well. This is likely the hottest thread I've read in a long time. Only 15 posts? I would think this is an important topic. It was for me. My chosen userid could have just as well been unabashedlegman but it was already taken.

So, I know that this is a joke for some people, but now I'm curious: would something like "Spirit Gum" work? Or would it damage either the shoe or the foot?

JVoV -> RE: Thoughts on strapless heels (1/9/2023 2:12:16 PM)

The shoe would have to fit perfectly, as Spirit Gum is more designed for things that are supposed to be a second skin. Even then, I wouldn't recommend it for long durations. Anything more than a first impression, followed by a quick round a mingling, and I'd say no. I would also say no for any real people, like over size 4.

I don't think it would damage the shoe, unless the dye used isn't great and the alcohol to remove the Spirit Gum makes the dye bleed. Almost no chance of it damaging your foot. Pantyhose may present a problem.

Of course, all I have is hypothetical knowledge. I would try it out at home first.

Unless you are on a stage, or your feet are going to be on display where you can't help it, I would focus attention on another body part. Cuz if your feet are your best feature, then God help you.
