I will say that I always found it amusing when doms that I was speaking with would bring up the issue of wanting to find another woman to add to our relationship so that they could have more than one sub.  While I'm not one to put my foot down and call it a hard limit, I figure it is only something I will embrace freely if he agrees that I can find myself a second Master.  Funny... none of them ever liked that idea.

Sorry, just had to do this.... lmao... we come with two dominants built in!!! See, for us, it wouldn't be that we just wanted a second sub/slave... it would be that we wanted one EACH.... lol

I wanted to add...

If they wanted to be poly and for me to remain monogamous, that could perhaps pose a potential problem; it would depend on the relationship, I guess.

I can see your point and read like that it sounds bad... but to help you to understand a little from our point of view...

We have a closed poly home.. and right now there are three of us. But I'm honestly hoping to bring in a male sub/slave (you know.. if any really do exist... my big unicorn hunt and all that). Should that happen... the male and twicehappy would NOT interact sexually, she would, in a sense, remain monogamous to us, just as he would remain monogamous to me (hubby is straight). While Scooter would have both twicehappy and me and I would have both... well, all of it... wow... how cool is that??? lmao I hope that made sense!!

Thanks Knight. You and your girls, along with Scooter, Jewel, and twice (and others, I'm sure), have gone a long way towards opening my eyes towards poly.

Thank you level, that means a lot to us.

This was such an interesting thread to read at 6 in the morning...LOL.  We've never really discussed poly but I would prolly be the one to have problems with it.  I've only known two poly "families" and both were fraught with in-fighting and jockeying for "position".  It might be because in neither case were the women bi.  And I think that may be why I'd have issues.

twicehappy -> RE: Anti Poly (7/17/2006 4:36:29 AM)

Hey bandit25, you sort of know us, and i think we are a good example. Just remember like my tagline says;

"The human heart is not a finite container but an ever expanding universe with all the stars contained there in. "

How large your heart is, how many stars you allow there and how brightly they shine is up to you.

I was poly in my previous collar as well as the one i am in now; when i sit and think of all the people i have known, of all the hearts that i allowed to bring the beauty of their love, the fire of their souls, the passion of their bodies into the container that is my heart thereby expanding it and giving it an almost unbearable brightness that i would never have experienced if i were not poly i shudder.

What a dim boring place my universe would be. Instead my heart  basks in the glow of so many who left me some of their light, even those long gone or moved on have left their brightness for me to hold, and hopefully i gave back all i received.

Love, the more you give the more you have, the worlds most renewable resource, a self perpetuating substance which can cost a great deal if given selfishly or to the wrong ones but if freely given and returned costs nothing and gives all.

Hey bev; I had a teacher that told that very same thing, right before she had to take an early retirement lol.

bandit25 -> RE: Anti Poly (7/17/2006 5:19:44 AM)

You're right twice.  I thought about adding something with you being the exception.  But I think that you and your Pair are special people.  I've never known any like you three.  As I stated, the only "families" I've known were definitely NOT a shining example to poly.  And, in fact, they weren't families for long.  You guys rock!

twicehappy -> RE: Anti Poly (7/17/2006 6:13:47 AM)

Lol, thank you. i know a few others that do also, funny thing though, i just realized they are all bikers. Must be something about the way bikers view the world and the freedom and brotherhood that you get from riding.

I would blame it on the fact that i know lots of bikers but i know just as many citizens(slang for non bikers)so it cannot be that.

GddssBella -> RE: Anti Poly (7/17/2006 6:39:42 AM)

G'morning all:

I have nothing against it, for others. If it's incorporated into a loving household with dignity, courtesy, respect and a communal effort for all. All too often, it's used as an excuse for multiple partners without commitment. I know some poly families that work well.

For myself? I've always believed in monogamy. It's about my comfort levels. I don't share well and never will. sleazy said it best. I could operate within a F/m/m household, but I'd still have some issues. In the end, I believe partners should be just that, partners. A pair, together through thick and thin. Just my $0.02.

Stay safe, play nice, & share your toys w/ others...
