Anybody actually read George's book, All Too Human? He was traumatized by his years at the White House, to the point of needing therapy and medication. Disgusted by the Lewinski scandal and how it was handled. But even after all of that, he believed our former President would still be capable of great things, through the Clinton Foundation. Most Americans did, and do, including both former Presidents Bush.
But George hasn't been following blindly for quite some time now. At no point did he dismiss the accusations Schweitzer made in his book. He said point blank that the Clinton campaign would have to answer the allegations.
Of course, had the Clintons listened to him when he said the same about Whitewater... Well, things could've been different.
Not for donating to charity, for failing to disclose three very large donations (and failing to disclose other connections) to a very specific foundation, while skewering the author of a book that is critical of said foundation on national TV in the guise of an objective journalist
He is well connected to the Clintons, but he and his network are trying to pretend that he is non-partial
