just to clarify, are the techs trying to fix the problem with uploaded pictures not being visible and reverting to the old pictures which we're trying to delete? only I've spent 2 days trying to put new pics on my profile, as has my Daddy, and we're both getting nowhere

The techs aren't explaining a lot to me because they don't have the time to teach a non-techie while they are working on so much. I am not going to ask. We know things aren't working normally and therefore, spending days trying to make something happen at this time, might be a waste of time. I really cannot tell you much. They are doing major work and that is all I need to know, other than when will this hell end (?) because staff is tired of being beat up. [&:] They had no idea it would be like this until they started it all. It is costing a lot of money and time. They are tired just as we are. We are very sorry, but it cannot be helped. That's all I've got.

Pics aren't loading without loading profiles, and now half the time profiles won't load. I feel for the techs, I've had computer issues that just get worse the more you work on them, this certainly appears to be one of those.

The servers are currently in the closet of Doom (which was sorted through, getting rid of several shirts and re-enforcing the rod with new handcuffs and spreaders)...there is no telling when I will release them...

The site looks the same now for the last month.... slow, photos not loading and dropping connection at will. It's one thing to have computer problems but having a site have them for well over a month now seeks outlandish. Are there any professionals involved? or is this just a problem of ownership?

So many people think they know how a site this size can run! If you have an idea of how the problem can be fixed, I'm sure staff would love some input. But really we all know people are just pissed off because their usual trolling for tail routine has been interrupted.

Okay Haus... From a former site owner (never again...I need my sanity!), I know what Support and the owner is going through. You have to update the software, make sure the scripts of coding is in perfect order, that the servers are accepting the software AND coding and making the system purr like a cat getting stroked. All it takes is one server to screw up and everything would be FUBAR. Mod 3, tell Support that I understand what they are going through. Just take the time to get everything running smoothly and that I hope that they get through this patch of trouble.

I was wondering what happened to the search results. Normally you have the option to see everything as a text list or as a photo gallery, but at the moment the only thing offered is text list.

This isn't new tech. The code for the profiles and photos isn't new. It's many YEARS old. It should take minimal maintenance. If the DB gets corrupted, reload it from the most recent backup and VOILA! The fact the problems have persisted and even gotten worse means someone went into the code and tried to change things, who wasn't familiar with it. They broke it and every time they try to patch (fix) it, they create other problems. Now, we have no photo lists and no photo grids, and the profile photos are still not bug free. The moral of the story, never piss off the person who coded your site. You may need them later. :)

Funny how everyone seems to know how to run/fix a website when they have only the bare minimum of interactions with it.

Chat is not working fine. People can not change names which means they can not lower case or upper case unless they come in through IRC. Room Owners that have recently been added are not shown with a . Rooms can only be moderated if you come in through IRC not the web page this means we have lost some OPs. The ban list is not working and has to be updated seems an old ban list was saved. Since many people use chat it might be nice for someone to look into it.

Please can we have chat fixed? Not being able to lower-case nicknames is a real pain! i understand we are on a back-up server? Will things ever return to normal or should i redo my profile with a lower-case nic?

I will get with the IRC OP and see what he has to say, then will discuss this with others. I'm not sure which rooms you all are talking about, but you do have my attention and I have a few questions. One would be if there is a system wide requirement that people change their nicknames to upper or lower case per positions of submissive or dominant or if this is certain rooms or the lobby? The site does not support or promote this, nor does it require it. At this time, if there is enforcement of this, it must be in the user created rooms and should not be done in the lobby. (I will be working on some training and staff for the area.) I have heard that someone was expecting people to change their site profile nickname and I'm not sure what to say about that at the moment, but I am not real thrilled about the idea. Though I am now to oversee things chat related, for the most part that will be in the lobby and when we have the video chat restored as the site doesn't make the rules for the other rooms. Of course if there are problems anywhere, site users are able to notify me about chats and I can then determine if it is something that would require my attention. I have not been told that we are on a backup server and do not know where this information is generating from. We are adding servers to what was already in use. As for anything else, I need to gather some information before I can respond. We are truly sorry for the disruptions.

Just a quick note... I have not been receiving any emails about cmails on the other side. In fact, the cmail I got yesterday was still unread according to the site. Now I will be a good gal, put my foot up and drink some tea.

I used to be a room moderator in the male submission chat room. After the server back up in May, I lost my moderator status and the room mods/owner have been unable to add me again unless I were to log in via IRC rather than the chat interface on the website. No other users can be promoted to room moderator unless they also log in via IRC rather than the chat interface on the webpage. Chatroom members are unable to change their nicks.
