so new to to the lifestyle cant seem to find my path am becoming more unshure the longer I search . interested in a good teaching dom for guidance and training im finding being open and honest the most erotic experance

A suggestion might be to put a little more effort into your post(s). A good standard of literacy is always appreciated in even the most casual of communications, and something so significant as looking for mentoring or ownership would certainly fall into the category - at least for me - where more effort and thought is required regarding writing standards.

Do some web searching for some of the local education societies. There are active communities in CA.

In the DC area Black Rose, BESS, Studio 58 and Resourcepool.org have educational programs. Also get on the forums on Fetlife ... very busy forum site so might be confusing but focus on some of the ask a Dom/Sub a question forums and ask - be verbose and clear to avoid off the cuff snide comments. if you don't know what you want say so and describe what you have tried so far and how you reacted, or some fantasies. Kids and animals are taboo subjects but otherwise there is someone out there with the complimentary interests.

Don't get caught up in parties where the rules don't include sub rights to say No. Don't play until you have negotiated what may or may not be done and have trust those limits won't be broken. Limits can change over time but NOT during a scene.
