ORIGINAL: Lucylastic I never mentioned taking away your guns....so dont put words in my mouth. That you would rather ignore and focus the numbers of deaths by gang/drugs you are making excuses.AGAIN. How many years have you (USA)had tens of thousands killed by guns. https://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/crime-in-the-u.s/2013/crime-in-the-u.s.-2013/offenses-known-to-law-enforcement/expanded-homicide/expanded_homicide_data_table_8_murder_victims_by_weapon_2009-2013.xls Hasn't happened in years, Lucy. It may have last happened in 2008, but in '09, it was about 9,200, and it's been going down ever since (the UCR only goes back to 2009 on this table). quote:
How many innocents have died as opposed to "guilty" (and is this YOUR version of guilty) half of them??? yanno taking your"appeal to non factual guessing" into consideration Justifiable shootings per year measure in the high 200s. Drugs and gang related deaths are often the cause of other innocents deaths... How many people are shot by their spouses every year? how many children kill each other using their fucking idiot parents guns. https://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/crime-in-the-u.s/2013/crime-in-the-u.s.-2013/offenses-known-to-law-enforcement/expanded-homicide/expanded_homicide_data_table_9_murder_victims_by_age_by_weapon_2013.xls No identification of how the guns were gained, but in 2013, about 300 kids, 16 years old or younger, were killed with a gun (not counting any that fell into the "unidentified age" category). That is how many were killed by a gun, with nothing identifying the age of the trigger puller. https://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/crime-in-the-u.s/2013/crime-in-the-u.s.-2013/offenses-known-to-law-enforcement/expanded-homicide/expanded_homicide_data_table_3_murder_offenders_by_age_sex_and_race_2013.xls 279 homicides were committed by kids 16 years old or younger (not including any that fell into the "unidentified age" category), though the victim of those homicides were not detailed. https://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/crime-in-the-u.s/2013/crime-in-the-u.s.-2013/offenses-known-to-law-enforcement/expanded-homicide/expanded_homicide_data_table_5_murder_age_of_victim_by_age_of_offender_2013.xls In homicides where the victim's and offender's ages are both known, 69 homicides occurred in 2013 where both the victim and the offender were "Under 18." https://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/crime-in-the-u.s/2013/crime-in-the-u.s.-2013/offenses-known-to-law-enforcement/expanded-homicide/expanded_homicide_data_table_11_murder_circumstances_by_weapon_2013.xls 547 murders in 2013 were the result of "Juvenile Gang Killings." quote:
How many use their relatives guns to kill themselves And YOU are seemingly happy to say oh well its a tragedy, but fuckem, they died so I could be free. Your "Utopian fucking imagination" is why you will continue to have so many dead..innocent and guilty.... Homicides have dropped the past number of years, and most of the methods of killing have also dropped (some have gone up in small numbers, by raw numbers). https://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/crime-in-the-u.s/2013/crime-in-the-u.s.-2013/tables/table-20/table_20_murder_by_state_types_of_weapons_2013.xls Where did most firearm homicides occur in 2013? California is #1. Then Texas (about 60% of CA), then PA and MI tied, Georgia, Illinois, NY, Louisiana, North Carolina, and Ohio rounds out the "Top" 10. CA had over 1200 firearm homicides, and TX had 760. Ohio had 309. The rest had under 300 total. You really want to teach me the art of digging into fbi figures? Puhleeze dont try and teach your granny to suck eggs. Data is lost on most people who spout bullshit soundbites.....which is why I dont bother anymore.... I was asking him specifically, but thanks for the back up data, unfortunately, theres little chance of change. And I dont mean in the numbers, I hope they continue to go down...it really doesnt help the families of the victims either way
