I'm a chat regular - I only come to the boards on occasion.

I'm just curious as to how many people who come to the boards also vist the chat rooms?

I drop by the lounge occassionally, but there are usually so many conversations going on at the same time that i find it hard to jump in. I would love a chat room for board regulars.

I personally can't stand the Yahoo chatrooms but Collarme has some good ones. I agree that the lounge has too many conversations going on at once. Leonidas seems to be in the gorean room a lot and he has some great insight. Maybe we need to open a couple more rooms up with board members.

Chat rooms are so hard to join in the conversation, I think. I like the boards, I can join in the discussion whenever I want to and if I miss a few days, I can get right back into what I have missed.

Well you know you can open your own room.

Call it The "Board" Room. LOL You could put a message up on the board, day to meet and time (EST PCT CT ect.) And anyone wanting to or available, could join you in there. I might even come in for a vist. Just an idea.

How about anyone in here who wants to set a chat time just announce it here and open the "Board Room"? I find it hard to commit ahead of time to certain times but i would jump in anytime i could.

i've never bothered with the chat rooms here at all, and with a pre determined time i'd enjoy conversing 'real time' with others who frequent the boards ... should my schedule allow.

Hmmm when Im online I am on both the chats and boards at the same time. So Id say Im equally at both.
When Collarme first started the chats I had two chat rooms opened one for Gor and one for BDSM but found that having them opened ate up a lot of My hard drive when I was away and I have 8 chat rooms open 24/7 on MSN as well that Ive had open for years so I choose to drop the room here on Collarme 8 months ago but I suppose if there is a desire I could open a room called the Board room for the regs if its desired.

buttttt anyhoo if there is enough interest in the Board Room being opened for the regs Ill see what I can do. I know of several Masters here that I brought t0 Collarme that Im sure would assist Me in manning it 24/7 to keep it open if this is the desire. And alone with anyone here whom has a interest Im sure it could work. 3 am Monday mornings is good for Me Estring You ready to commit that timeframe for the room? ~smiles~

Okay MistressDread; dumb question here but how do you stay in two rooms at once in the chatroom? I thought once you leave one for another that's it.

I was curious about that too, so i just tried minimizing this page and logging into CM again, and bingo i could stay here and go to a chat room.
I know you can also do it on different servers at the same time, like use aol, ie, and netscape--voila three chat rooms.

MistressDread--does Leon mind observers? I would love to watch some Gor role playing but not participate.

I know that Leon loves observers myself. I really like his room even tho I am not into Gor. He is easy to talk to; I love to flirt with him. The only thing you have to get used to is the slaves who beg to go to the bathroom, etc.....

Sounds great Mistress Dread. Ok, I don't know about the 3am thing. I'm at work at that time.

Although 24/7 might take a lot more work, it would be more convenient for me.

I do love the boards but i think a chatroom for us to get together and chat more would be great!

i have been in Leondias chat room some but since i am not a Gorean slave feel out of place and most in there probably think i am rude because i do not ask permission for things nor do i call them all "Master" and so forth. Leondias knows why and i am sure understands but for the ones who don't know me... i once was in there and one guy told me i was more of a "free woman" type then slave... hmmm not sure how i was to take that *LOL*

anyway great idea! i think even if we didnt have a date and time if one of us has time to just make a room someday and just make a room. i know i would keep a eye out when i had time if someone had a room open or not we could just pop in.

anyway i am off before kids get home ... bbl

Well, I had good intentions, with the usual result for good intentions.
I went and started a "Board" chat room, went and started a second session to tell you guys about it, found that Jenn had joined the chat room, and then lost my network connections.

Sorry, Jenn. If I wanted to leave you hanging, I'd have been a Dom.

I suggest we try again from time to time.
