ORIGINAL: KenDckey https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Landfill_gas_utilization Methane gas from landfills, wastewater treatment facilities, ag uses, and potting soil manufacturing makes a nice alternative and renewable fuel source. I also believe it is cheaper than solar and nuclear plants to produce. IBM has a suggestion program. When I suggested they use the methane from their plant septics, they said, nice idea, they were already piping it into storage and using it. Yes, overall this has been a great source of fuel that has been generally untapped and for the better part of a century. I understand that the Chinese are experimenting with tapping the methane from termite colonies.
