Peeches -> Question re: "living expenses provided" (11/29/2004 11:32:37 AM)

What are the various reasons for having "living expenses provided" in your profile interests?

What type of responses have you received as a result of having the above interest listed in your profile?

I'd like to solicit responses from various Doms out there. I have always had a preconception and kneejerk response to this interest and would like to validate or negate my thoughts.

Thanks y'all!

Interesdom -> RE: Question re: "living expenses provided" (11/29/2004 2:15:13 PM)

I have never put this on my profile and nor would I.

As far as I know there are two reasons why this appears on a dominant's profile:
1) The dominant is insecure about his own attraction (or perhaps just desperate) and is willing, effectively, to pay to have a submissive but without the cost of a prostitute.
2) The dominant is looking for a total-ownership arrangement and expects his slave to be with him 100% of the time. He is making it clear that he will cover the slave's running costs, as he should under such arrangement. He should also be willing to provide for her future in some way when the relationship ends, through his death in old age or natural relationship breakdown.

Either of these situations might add up to little more than the woman looking after children and the home as he goes out to work. I suggest you ask detailed questions, perhaps obliquely, to determine what's behind the statement if the profile looks otherwise attractive to you.
