FR Just to lighten the mood: You're walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small children. Suddenly, an Islamic terrorist with a huge knife comes around the corner, locks eyes with you, screams obscenities, praises Allah, raises the knife, and charges at you. You are carrying a Glock cal 40, and you are an expert shot. You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family. What do you do? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Democrat's Answer: Well, that's not enough information to answer the question! Does the man look poor! Or oppressed? Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack? Could we run away? What does my wife think? What about the kids? Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand? What does the law say about this situation? Does the Glock have appropriate safety built into it? Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway, and what kind of message does this send to society and to my children? Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me? Fun. But again, just you inventing positions that don't exist, rather than addressing the issues that really exist. School shooters don't single out victims by political affiliation.

To some extent those positions do exist. If there weren't elements of truth in it then the joke, or any other joke wouldn't be funny.

An individual is not capable of making life decisions in the eyes of some that consider the general population to be wayward children incapable and unprepared to decide anything for themselves. The changes to the educational system in the last three decades sure look like a good way to create such a situation. If you want to violently control a population; first get them declared criminals.

As I mentioned elsewhere, I believe homosexual married couples should be able to defend their marijuana plants and adopted children with firearms -- a view I'm relatively certain is not shared by the Republican party. Interesting that you believe anyone advocating firearm rights is immediately a conservative, however. Do you often see things in only black and white?
