Donald trump enjoys some support, but (since you equate "nutsuckers" with practically all republican politicians, if not their supporters) he is not the party's "darling" by any stretch of the imagination. in fact, if memory serves, his unfavorability rating has been right down near the bottom along with Hillary Clinton.

its actually possible to criticize his position, which I trust a great many republicans and conservatives will do, without lumping everyone together underneath your word of the day, or rather, your word of everyday.

at the same time, despite what you might like to believe to the contrary comrade, this isn't a position that is consistent with conservatism or libertarianism.

there are no republicans I am aware of, and no conservatives.

There are nutsuckers who 'belong' to that 'party' by their own admission, old malthusian whigs, and know nothings, free market communists and Nazi propagandists, nothing remotely conservative, and nothing at all traditionally republican, just the imploding factions on the edges of crazy extremism.

Polls dont mean anything. He is at the top of them with the nutsuckers though.

It is quite consistent with amerikan history comrade. This is what we did to the native americans.

“We’re going to have to do things that we never did before,” Trump said in an interview with Yahoo News. “Some people are going to be upset about it, but I think that now everybody is feeling that security is going to rule.”

It would appear that donald the dumb does not know much about the official government policy from george washington to teddy roosevelt where "the only good indian was a dead indian".

Why do you say that he is not the party's darling when he is near the top of the polls?

I thought we'd have to wait a few pages or, at least, a few posts, but we got the golden nugget right in the title of the thread. I'm referring, of course, to Godwin's Law.

Oh I disagree here. I don't want to derail but to bring up Godwin's Law strikes me as important to rebut.

The Nazis may have taken only about 5-6 years to consolidate power and form the fascist police state but it is very slowly coming here even if it takes 50-60 years. There are far too many similarities at least with respect to not only the change in laws due to a 'new enemy' but also the partisan rhetoric where already the mere opposition becomes traitorous or at the very least...unpatriotic.

To ignore the signs is to ignore a vast amount of history and history's powerful telling us of their proclamations and admonishments.

HERE

HERE

Admittedly, some are radical but the US is slowly going in these directions. I think I will do an OP on all of the advice (quotes) of previous leaders, elite and intellecuals of the past that seem to ring very true, possible or at the very least...plausible.

Trump BTW is just 'Reality TV' hits the repub campaign trial. He will NOT be nominated let alone elected. What we are seeing in the repub campaign, whether one believes it to be fortunate or unfortunate, is ...Hillary Clinton being put into the white house.

Maybe he would have the muslims all wear ill-fitting and badly coloured wigs so they are easily recognisable in any environment or situation ? I don't know what he would propose for the ever open mouth or the shit that spews out of it though, but he is an ideas man, so I would guess he will come up with something, as long as he doesn't have to think on it too long.

Carson has declared them like rabid dogs...not isil, not Islam, but the refugees.
The humanity is dead in this one.
Religious test from cruz...
Internment camps from to roanokes mayor
The mayor of Roanoke, Virginia, has come under criticism after he appeared to endorse the internment of Japanese Americans during World War Two.
In a letter, David Bowers wrote that Syrian refugees should not be resettled in his city, citing security concerns.
To highlight the point, he compared the concern over the refugees to the 1940s internment of Japanese Americans.
The internment camps - now considered illegal - are widely considered to be an embarrassing period in US history.
"I'm reminded that President Franklin D Roosevelt felt compelled to sequester Japanese foreign nationals after the bombing of Pearl Harbor and it appears that threat of harm to America from [IS] now is just as real and serious as that from our enemies then," Mr Bowers, a Democrat, wrote.
More than 30 US governors have said they do not want Syria refugees resettled in their states after recent attacks in Paris tied to the so-called Islamic State killed more than 100 people.
Although the governors do not have the legal authority to do so, they can complicate the resettlement process. US President Barack Obama called their response "hysterical".

The text of Roanoke Mayor's David Bowers
The letter was the subject on sharp criticism on social media
Virginia Republicans sought to distance themselves from Mr Bowers' remarks.
"Comparing the prudent step of pausing to evaluate a vetting processes to the unconstitutional internment of American citizens proves that Democrats simply don't understand national security," John Whitbeck, the chairman of the Virginia Republican Party, said in a statement.
The letter drew also ridicule on social media with celebrities condemning Mr Bowers.
Actor and Japanese-American George Takei wrote on Facebook: "Mayor Bowers, there are a few key points of history you seem to have missed."
"The internment [not a "sequester"] was not of Japanese "foreign nationals," but of Japanese Americans, two-thirds of whom were US citizens," Mr Takei wrote.
"I was one of them, and my family and I spent four years in prison camps because we happened to look like the people who bombed Pearl Harbour. It is my life's mission to never let such a thing happen again in America."

this needs to be said somewhere since the comrades are all apoplectic over ted cruz and the "religious test."

quote:

Under federal law, the executive branch is expressly required to take religion into account in determining who is granted asylum. Under the provision governing asylum (section 1158 of Title 8, U.S. Code), an alien applying for admission
must establish that … religion [among other things] … was or will be at least one central reason for persecuting the applicant.

Moreover, to qualify for asylum in the United States, the applicant must be a “refugee” as defined by federal law. That definition (set forth in Section 1101(a)(42)(A) of Title , U.S. Code) also requires the executive branch to take account of the alien’s religion:

The term “refugee” means (A) any person who is outside any country of such person’s nationality … and who is unable or unwilling to return to … that country because of persecution or a well-founded fear of persecution on account of … religion [among other things] …[.]

The law requires a “religious test.” And the reason for that is obvious. Asylum law is not a reflection of the incumbent president’s personal (and rather eccentric) sense of compassion. Asylum is a discretionary national act of compassion that is directed, by law not whim, to address persecution...

In the case of this war, the Islamic State is undeniably persecuting Christians. It is doing so, moreover, as a matter of doctrine. Even those Christians the Islamic State does not kill, it otherwise persecutes as called for by its construction of sharia (observe, for example, the ongoing rape jihad and sexual slavery).

To the contrary, the Islamic State seeks to rule Muslims, not kill or persecute them…

Most of the people who are refugees are economic refugees. They are fleeing hardship but they are not fleeing persecution. Under the law, they are not allowed to claim refugee status...

I'm sad to say that political correctness has kept the world unsafe from Terrorism.

Here Trump is suggesting some unpolitical correct solutions, which will keep America safer. And I love how he says, monitor the mosques, that totally makes sense, because most terrorist teachings are from the mosques, it's in their holy text, for gawd's sake. Guess what? When they are reading the chapters in Jihad and talking about how Muhammad lead the war by example against the Infidels, guess what that's about! I mean, do people realise Muhammad is actually their role model and that man was no Jesus Christ who said turn the other cheek or Buddha who would say detach yourself completely from human emotion and need nothing and want nothing? Muhammad says, Death to Infidels!

I think his solution is hardcore and not popular, but tough actions required for tough situations.

I think the badge thing is unnecessary though. Terrorist will just declare they ain't Muslims. But monitor the mosques, start tapping into what they are teaching in there. GREAT IDEA!

I was watching the news the other day, and they were trying explain, Jihadist are not Muslims. Don't call them Muslims. A real Muslim is never a Jihadist. I cannot believe they said that on the News!

But HELLO! The word "Jihad" came from the Quran! They didn't pull it out of their ass and invent a new word. There were Jihadist in the Quran fighting holy war, lead by Muhammad, their revered Prophet, they were his soldiers. How are Jihadist not Muslims? These damn media are just misleading people.

Jihadists are Muslims in the same sense that the Westboro Baptist Church is Christian.

Westboro isn't something from the bible was it? I mean, was there a group of people lead by Jesus called Westboro? Were Jesus followers called Westboro, in accordance of the bible? Jesus followers are called Christians right? So if Westboro church followers believe in Jesus, then they are Christians too. Period.

Jihadist was a term literally exist in the Quran, referring to Muhammad's soldiers who he lead against infidels. These terrorists identify themselves as the modern generation of Muhammad's Army. Thus they call themselves Jihadist. Muhummad is the leader of Islamic Faith.

How can you even attempt to compare that?

And fact of the matter is, Muslims believe in Jesus too, and the entire Christian Old testament. They just don't believe in the new Testament and switch to the Quran in replacement of the New Testament. They are technically Christians too. But they don't believe Jesus is the son of God, they think Jesus is just another Prophet of God. So they call themselves Muslim base on following Prophet Muhammad.

All Muslims will tell you Jesus Christ Existed in their Quran.
