Taking an early break from the 12 Days event. Due to lack of sleep from the night before, a bunch of us cashed out at intermission to grab early dinner before we all did our costume changes before heading to the club.

We met up with a ton of people from the event. Not only did I get to see my Elder for the first time in over a year, we finally got to meet Orange, Hooker, (yes, his name really is Hooker and he's been organizing the event for the last nine years), the current Ms Leather Philadelphia, various performers, and some good ol' fashioned leather folk. We didn't get everybody's name, but, if you were there, we were the folks doing old fashioned 50's style dancing to a version of "All I want for Christmas". Yep. I was the chick in the lace skirt and the knee high boots. The handsome man who was my escort/dance partner was Mr P.

The fund raising is going wonderfully and the performers are amazing. If I were to make a prediction, I feel assured that today will beat the $12.8K that was raised last year. I selected Dog Rescue of Maryland for my entry proceeds, though all of the charities are very deserving.

I have not seen such a well put together event in such a long time. It is great to see the leather, kink, and GLBT communities come together this way.

Wrapping up...

The folks from NC who came all this way are almost home. We saw them off late this morning/early afternoon. Much love was in the air and there were even pictures! Secret stash, though.

T won the auction for the leather jacket. (She's damn lucky she bid on it first because, otherwise, I'd have tried to snag that thing in a heartbeat.) Truth be told, all of the auction items went well. Everything from designer cupcakes, to wine baskets, to leather items.

It was a great weekend. I'm hoping New Mod will be cool if I sneak in a post about the financial report after the holiday.
