Real0ne -> “Making A Murderer”, Unbelieveablely Disturbing Disgusting Legacy of State Corruption. (1/6/2016 6:50:54 AM)

This is a 10 part series and I was so pissed off watching this I ended up watching all of them in a single sitting thinking someone would do the right thing but its the gubblemint and I should have known better. This is what I rant about. See, read for yourselves.
Over 10 Years, 2 Filmmakers Documented The 'Making' Of A Murderer

Showing one plot summary

Filmed over a 10-year period, Making a Murderer is an unprecedented real-life thriller about Steven Avery, a DNA exoneree who, while in the midst of exposing corruption in local law enforcement, finds himself the prime suspect in a grisly new crime. Set in America's heartland, the series takes viewers inside a high-stakes criminal case where reputation is everything and things are never as they appear.

Hats off to the producers, since I personally know people who the system has destroyed their lives through the corruption of the system.

The 2 attorneys, as much as I have no love for attorneys, these guys were brilliant, they proved the gubblemints case was frivolous on virtual all levels and corruption at the hands of the officials involved and the Wisconsin DOJ like everywhere else in gubblemint in thsi country today, simply turned a blind eye. Despite the victims aree far from being anointed saints this documentary exposes the system, and this could be you or a member of your family.

I highly suggest watching the series which plays actual recordings of the court and people involved including the attorneys in and behind the scenes. Bravo to the filmakers.

Theres a LOT of angst from kratz about this and information that wasnt covered by the documentary. But Kratz is and just from the documentary was a lying thunderfuck.
I dunno if Avery is guilty of Teresa Halbachs murder, but whatever happened, he should get a new trial from the beginning.
I also know people who have been fucked by the law, losing their freedom and their innocence to rotton cops and douche bag prosecutors.
I can easily believe and do believe they are as rotten as hell in wisconsin.
Avery doesnt stand a chance of getting anywhere with Walker in command.
Brendan should be out. talk about railroaded.

I believe the evidence that "convicted him" was planted,
I watched it between boxing day and the new year(those days go past in a haze) I actually had to watch it twice. The second just to see if I had missed anything, yanno like an explanation about the blood or rather the lack of it.

I also KNOW from experience, that Kratz's confession from a cell mate stating avery wanted to build a "torture chamber" is really reaching. Im wondering what the inmate got for his"truthful confession....
The whole thing REEEEKS

In fact right now the only thing that upsets me more right now is the flint michigan lead in the water situation and Rick Snyder, the lying bastard.

One of the lawyers said at the end..
You may never think about committing a crime, that doesnt mean you will never be accused.

more fact in that sentence than in most of the case against Avery.
There is a link somewhere to the transcript, Im trying to find it.

You are right about Scott Walker. He will not pardon a convicted murderer because of a biased documentary. A documentary that failed to mention key evidence that convicted Avery and his nephew.

Unfortunately, this stuff doesn't surprise me at all anymore. This is a fact. Locally, no. Va. just a few years ago, on a local TV broadcast election news coverage. Candidate for sheriff.

"Why do you want to be sheriff ?" "So I can kill people."

hell he spent 18 years in jail for something he didnt commit, so Im not too worried about him getting out any time soon..
BTW... I suggested a retrial, not pardoning.
so what do you claim the missing evidence is???

I will bet you any amount you want to put up that if you live in any municipality in this country I can review the cases in your back yard and come up with hundreds of them that demonstrate how the gubblemint sets the average joe up for the fall then forces you to pay them to let you go. The greater majority is concealed in the process and procedure itself, from the top down when comparing it to the 'letter of the law'.

For instance 'summary judgment' is a top shelf example. In civil cases you go to court and demand a jury trial but instead the judge alone decides whether to go forward with the case, granting judgment to one party or the other. You never get past first base much less your case put before a jury, hence bypassing the jury and compliance with the 'letter of the law'-'due process' completely. You have the right to a jury trial but it was just taken away from you, and this is judicially accepted procedure, thank you very much BAR. This is nationwide under the guise of saving money and time rather than achieving justice. Justice is required to take a step back to expediency.

The same goes at all levels of the 'process'. Hearsay is allowed 'as fact' now days and Knowles in Iowa was convicted on probable suspicion. This cancer exists and is growing in every state of the union.

Not mentioned on the TV show. Her cell phone and other personal items found in a burn barrel on Avery's property. Avery's non blood dna found on Theresa's car. Therese's bones found burned in a pit on Avery's property. Theresa's car keys found in Avery's trailer. He purchased shackles and handcuffs a day before he murdered her. He specifically asked for her when he contacted the company she worked for. All of this was excluded form the documentary.

Reading Kratz?

Therese's bones found burned in a pit on Avery's property. yes they discussed that. quite a bit
they also mentioned the key more than one episode and the clusterfuck surrounding the "discovery" of the key after searching how many days??? over what three months?, they also played the phonecall she made to arrange the time she was going to be there, (voice mail)

you obviously didnt watch it.
I thought you had something "insightful" to add to the discussion.

servantforuse -> RE: “Making A Murderer”, Unbelieveablely Disturbing Disgusting Legacy of State Corruption. (1/6/2016 1:50:05 PM)

A majority of people in Wisconsin believe he is guilty, as I do. This murder happened 30 miles from where I live. Avery also had a very good defense team and was still convicted.

Lucylastic -> RE: “Making A Murderer”, Unbelieveablely Disturbing Disgusting Legacy of State Corruption. (1/6/2016 1:53:45 PM)

As a local....what happened to her blood? where was it???

Real0ne -> RE: “Making A Murderer”, Unbelieveablely Disturbing Disgusting Legacy of State Corruption. (1/6/2016 2:42:44 PM)

Servant; 2 things; how did you conclude that 'most people in Wisconsin' believe Avery is guilty, and if you were not a 'first hand' witness what difference do 'you' think it makes if you are 20 miles or 20 light years away?

Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos, who spent nearly a decade making the true-crime documentary series, told the Today show Tuesday that after the show's Dec. 18 debut, a juror in Avery's case reached out to them and spoke at length about the case.

"We were contacted by one of the jurors who sat through Steven Avery's trial and shared what us their thoughts and they told us that they believe Steven Avery was not proven guilty, they believe that Steven was framed by law enforcement," Ricciardi shared. "They believe he deserves a new trial, and if he receives a new trial, in their opinion it should take place far away from Wisconsin."

The 10-part series examines the case of Avery, who was sentenced to life for the 2005 murder of photographer Teresa Halbach. The sentence followed Avery's 18 years in prison after being wrongfully convicted of sexual assault in 1985. Avery has long maintained his innocence and alleged that he was framed by local authorities and county officials.

Demos said that they asked the juror why Avery was unanimously voted guilty if some jurors felt he was innocent.

"What they told us was that they feared for their personal safety," Demos said.

Ricciardi added, "[The juror] told us that the verdicts in Steven's trial were a compromise."

She said that the source went on to describe the other jurors trading votes, "and explicitly discussing 'if you vote guilty on this count, I'll vote not guilty on this count' "

"They believed that if there were a split verdict like this, that would send a message to the appellate courts and that Steven would get a new trail," Demos explained.

The juror also told the filmmakers that he or she is willing to serve as a source if there is another trial.

The revelation comes shortly after a Change.org petition requesting Avery's pardon reached over 200,000 signatures.

Avery is currently serving life in prison without the possibility of parole. His nephew, Brendan Dassey, is also in prison for being a party to murder, sexual assault and mutilating a corpse for the Halbach case. Dassey is serving life in prison, but has the possibility of parole after 40 years. http://www.people.com/article/steven-avery-juror-believes-he-deserves-a-new-trial

So you feel a verdict brought about by a jury out of fear rather than the facts speaks for all of Wisconsin?

AND what Lucy said

So do you have have an explanation for us why you would convict 2 men for slitting a young womans throat when no blood as Lucy said was found at the alleged crime scene?

And do you have an explanation why the jury would fear voting for a not guilty verdict?

Who or what could possibly terrorize the jury to the point of entering a false verdict?

Anybody have a link to court transcripts, I had one but cant find it?
yeah this case riled me up but good.
not that it will make a difference to any of it, as a furriner.

I cant even remember who told me about it, I use netflix, but not often enough to have noticed it.
Like I havent got enough goin on in life right now.

Real0ne -> RE: “Making A Murderer”, Unbelieveablely Disturbing Disgusting Legacy of State Corruption. (1/6/2016 7:39:26 PM)

steven avery transcript evidence

He is a guy who was put in prison for a crime he did not commit and held there for 18 years. He sued Manitowoc and was about to win his 35 Million dollar law suit.

Then magically shortly before the case was was scheduled to settle just by coincidence of course he is accused of murdering the Halbrect gal where upon initial investigation they could not find enough evidence to connect him to the murder so they planted it as they went along some evidence was planted up to 4 plus months later magically finding more evidence after each search their 8 searches of the property that magically just happened to show up, by magic.

What a lucky magical break for the prosecution.

Lucylastic -> RE: “Making A Murderer”, Unbelieveablely Disturbing Disgusting Legacy of State Corruption. (1/6/2016 8:07:44 PM)

oh I saw the documentary, I just want more info without listening/reading to the bias outisde the courtroom if possible. I saw what the defense and prosecution did, I wanna see more "evidence" for my own edification.
I know a lot of stuff is ignored/disapeared in main trials because of varying degrees of "allowability"
The documentary can only show so much...as was posted in the clip above, the lawyer said about 240 hours of actual court case?
On the documentary "evidence" I do wanna see both sides to the trial.
Its why I asked Servant a question about the blood or rather the lack of it, i seriously want to know where or if there was Teresas blood found apart from her bones. in significant quantities i mean as there should have been at the crime scene...

From the gitgo, let me say I am not informed on this case. I passed by a TV when this case was discussed, and they said that Avery had confessed to having a torture chamber; he had drawn it out, and said that he wanted to rape and murder girls. The description of the room matched.

I make no opinion about this, except I don't think any of us here can say that he is innocent or guilty. All other things being equal, if he had good representation, I am inclined to trust the jury.
