Happy New Year everyone!!!!

I do apologize for the delay in starting this post but I was in Austin until the 5th and on the 6th, woke up with a rather nasty head cold. Between the sniffles, sneezes and massive quantities of cherry Nyquil, I finally kicked the bastard as of this morning. The doctor knows I was sick but feels that my regime of care was the right thing to do. Thank goodness I do take 2,000 mg of vitamin C daily also...it helps with healing gums up after tooth extractions as well.

My doctor is going to refer me back to a GI specialist due to my lovely intestines. Having IBS-C is not fun but the main doctor says my taking docusate sodium is in reality what he would of told me to do (I do through research on my medical problems so I can have an active role in treatment).

Mom is doing fine. She has the nerves burned on the 8th on her right side of the hip and will get the left side done on the 22nd. Hopefully this will help her out back pain wise for a bit.

The Lizard is doing okay. She is getting ready for her 21st birthday next month. Told her no heavy drinking (stay away from the Irish whiskey) and to get the cheesecake at Baker Street pub. She has asked me to tutor her in the Wicca path so I got a few books for her to study, a few notebooks to use as Book of Shadows (I don't see using $18 blank journals as BOS when a 88 cent composition book can do as well), an altar cloth and the spell book I had tucked away in storage. She should receive her pentacle any day now.

Lovelife is kinda sketchy. Belly too big to move around but I am losing weight. Bo and I are not quite bf/gf and he understands that I am going through menopause (thanks the Gods for black cohosh!!!). When I was down in Austin, I slept with him and was able to get some good sleep time in. Going to sleep by the sound of 50s' TV shows was interesting.

Well, time to return to the game. It is freezing down here and I got my electric blanket on under my newest afghan...toasty warm!!!

January seems to be flying by!

I've been more productive and settled the past two weeks than in all of 2015. I'm feeling very good about that, and I already see benefits to my bottom line, both personally and professionally. There is something very awesome about being in control of that stuff.

My love life is amazing, as always. Pet is a stellar addition to my life, and during the holidays when we were apart for two weeks, we realized we do not like that at all. Still not moving forward on getting closer as in more traditional, but there has been some talk around it. Not sure how I feel about that, but after 2+ years, I guess I'm cool with it. He has, so far, been my best relationship, ever by a factor of 10.

This year so far, I've already written a new story, I'm working on my anal training program for men, I'm testing new ways of reaching out to people, have reorganized my bedroom, added two new Bad Dragon toys to the collection...

Did have my wallet stolen at an NYE celebration. Bad start, but it's looking up!

This is as good a place as any to say hello. I always liked these threads.

For the folks who don't know me, I've been around off and on for a bit now. Lately, it's been more off than on, but the flip side of that has been a tremendous amount of change in my life. I want to make a joke about sense / cents because of the change part, but meh. You know. Jokes are a dime a dozen (couldn't resist after all...)

I've moved to South America. I'm working at a job that is difficult but quite prestigious (oo la la). Sapiosexual gal that I am, I have loads of fantasy fodder due to my new gig. That's kind of a double edged sword - exciting but at times distracting. No complaints.

I'm back to learning Spanish and seem to be doing ok. I talk to EVERYONE. The indigenous people in their colorful skirts and gold necklaces selling vegetables on the street for a dollar, the taxi drivers that get me to where I need to go, the little kids with their beautiful smiles and contagious laughter. I am KNOWN... and the people are ever so patient with my passable, often incorrect, attempts at communication.

It's nice to be seen as a woman again. Flirtation is a daily occurance again (no more eating dirt. Quote from ages ago: "And then I went to Korea. Sigh. Blech. I was invisible, noone ever touched me - as in pat my hand, slap me on the back, hugs, NOTHING. I felt like I was dying for touch. This phrase came to me at that time: When you are starving, you will eat dirt. That's how I felt.")

My world is sunny again. It's wonderful to say that. I'm looking for a bike this weekend. I've been walking a LOT... I'm a little concerned about all the mountains here when I start biking again, but it'll be ok. I'll just take my time.

It's absolutely GORGEOUS here. There are birds I've never seen, flowers everywhere, sunshine every day, and music.

I'm in that four month learning curve still, so many things are exciting and frustrating all at the same time. But I'm getting there. I know how to do most day to day things, and I like the culture tremendously. Come for a visit!

The new furry kid seems to finally settle down, work stuff has been surprisingly pleasant and easy to handle (hope I haven't jinxed it now), girlie dog had a temper tantrum and kicked the kid gate that stopped her from going into my clothes room and making a bed out of expensive stuff (dog hair on business suits is a bit frowned upon) and ended up with a nail bed infection (lifted her nail out of the nail bed and infection set in), I'm kissing my pet insurance in gratitude at the moment as the vet bill was astronomic for x-rays and lab cultures, however she is not happy about limping and lets everybody know.

Done the whole Frontline and worming pills for all the pets, dogs were easy but the cats almost cost me digits.

Busy clearing out the house so we can look into moving...

Congrats to Sunny. But how have you adapted to the altitude? I've known people to go to Quito and have heart attacks from the difficulty breathing.

@DesFIP - The altitude is tough. It takes a few days to get accustomed to it. I don't overly push myself (asthma), but I am doing ok. I walk slowly. I give myself plenty of time to get where I"m going. After about a week, I'm ok. If I go down to the coastal areas, though, I have to start all over again.

My heart is pretty strong after all the biking I did previously. But it's time to get back at it!

I have not been to Eucador but have spent a lot of time in Brazil and Chile. Everyone there says hello with a big hug, guys and the gals alike. That took me a while to get used to. I hope Eucador has the same fresh fruits as Brazil. The fresh fruit is amazing compared to the US. Nothing like fresh papaya with ice cream. mmmm! I do miss that. And my favorite drink there is Guarana. Not to mention the wine!

Sunshine!! How have you been!
January is... Weird. It's cold then warm, now it's freezing. We have just celebrated a year with our NuNu (nickname given to our red headed baby girl). She received her rings and collar. We are so happy. Its her birthday today, she is 21. Our newest addition is having a few expected bumps but doing well.

So far, that's our January.

Today's my birthday. My kids are bringing in takeout Chinese later. The Man baked a cake.
I never thought I would say there's such a thing as too much chocolate but there is. My daughter brought by a bag of Hershey miniatures earlier, The Man got me Ferraro Roche, and I'm chocolated out. I still have a couple of slices from a chocolate orange left over from Christmas.

Though I don't get the chocs thing, never liked it and the taste makes me want to gag, apparently being a woman I should like it but chocs for me is like garlic for a vampire, I guess I must be weird...

For myself, I'm enjoying getting back into the local Scene, volunteering at a couple of the playspaces, and have had a few dates with guys I've met here. I'm doing elder care for a really sweet couple I've known for about 15 years.

Hello, I'm Rose, very new to the scene. My January has been a mixed bag. I've finally committed to going to the gym and visiting my chiropractor regularly. I've also enjoyed some nice time with family. Other than that, it's been somewhat uneventful.

Sunny:) always a pleasure to see you back on the boards. missed you.
I had an amzing christmas with the kids n hubby, now we are moving thru january at a fast pace. my daughter turns 30 this week so Im feeling old. (which is not unusual these days) we have five birthdays coming up in the next six weeks or so. Three hit milestones, 30, 25 and the ol man hits 70.

FInally gearing up to start going to local events again, all the work Ive done over the past five months is paying off, and altho my health is not as good as it should be, it will be seen too soon.
The time has come to look into expanding out to a bricks and mortar store, Im not rushing it, because I have a lot of other stuff to look into as well
hopefully a trip to the UK sometime, I need to see my siblings and mum and a whole bundle of friends:) plus some weekend trips down south.
Hopefully it will be a better year this year, but carrying on as usual.

Anda Its nice to see you back again(your name reminds me of a friend I had many many years ago online)
And hello to Rose, welcome to the boards.
