He stated that shooting an attacker in the foot will stop them just as surely as a center mass shot. He further stated that shooting an attacker in the foot is no more difficult than shooting center mass. Both positions are too ridiculous to even contemplate. The day after he made the first statement a NY cop was shot in the foot and proceded to kill his attacker. The attacker was not good enough with a gun to hit his foot he was bad enough that pray and spray got a foot. To claim that the foot of an attacker is as easy to hit as center mass is not only claiming that the size is reasonably close but ignores many facts. One the foot is moving faster than the central body, I estimate at least twice as fast. Two to aim at the foot and get nothing is not nearly as good as aiming for the heart and missing by twice as much. More difficult target, less likely to actually disable the attacker (although if hit in the foot with a .45 he is unlikely to chase you or anyone else, ever) as he can still shoot. Said .45 in the chest is almost certain to find something important. He won't be able to proove his skill and even if he did he would still be wrong. I have him on hide. I would suggest that you at least ignore him as he never adds anthing to the conversation. PS a bullseye is motionless, a foot is anything but.

A soldier runs at about 108" per second. Pistol bullets travel at about 1000' per sec which means the travel time of the bullet for 25 yards is 1/13 sec. This means the foot travels 8.3" during the flight time of the bullet. If the point of aim is the toe this moves the bullet strike back 8.3 inches on a 12 inch long foot.[8\|] Personally I think you're a fake who tries to troll and has never handled a firearm under duress. I would like to point out that shooting to wound means you are not in fear for your life and that will get you arrested and jailed. If you are going to shoot an attacker, you need to shoot to kill.
