But, also considering the OP is from India and doesn't have any photos of himself. It's possible they just didn't trust him.

I use surrogates, personally.

People that stand outside their homes with flashlights.

Strangely enough, many people who pronounce themselves as submissive don't really like to obey. Being tied up and beaten every once in a while, sure. Standing at attention every time the dominant snaps his fingers, no visible signs of pleasure doing it being a reason for an attitude adjustment, not so much.
