Hi.

I'm just trying to keep a list of profiles up and running for later contact when I have a more full profile myself and what not.
So I'm wondering if I add someone to my favourites whether or not they can see that?

PS: Forum could use a forum section about the site and forum :-)

Yes. If you favorite someone, we see it as "Admirers."

Out of interest - why would you want to?

Does it matter that they know that you like their profile, or do you simply not want them to know till you're ready - confused...

My profile is shitty atm, just for browsing. And I'm not necessarily "admiring" anyone. Yet.

But I'll just write peeps a few PMs then and then I'll have them listed in my mail section instead. I think its weird to have that digital connection, whether it's a friend request or an unilateral declaration of admiration without saying "hi" first.

You will have to pull up their Full Profile, so then you will still appear on their Who's Viewing Me? page. Btw, the way around appearing as a viewer is by doing a user name search which takes you to their short profile version without pulling up Full Profile, or by being logged out and typing screen name after collarspace.com URL (you will not be able to see their Interests list, though, if that is something you want to scan).

Actively Seeking portion and their Interests list does not e-mail, nor their journal entries (but you can subscribe to their journal updates, appearing as a subscriber on their Viewing page).

Photo gallery content does not e-mail either, just user's green-lettered stats, profile text, and main profile pic being used at the time. Neither does their Friends list, if that makes any difference.

Sometimes users can get the wrong idea since you will appear as an Admirer and be able to track their last on-line time or log-off date (to see whether they have been active recently), those who are not aware that "Favoriting" is a way to bookmark for later reference. What is odd is that you cannot remove an Admirer--only that person can remove you from Favorites, not the other way around.

If they put their profile on Hide (option under Edit Profile), then they will not appear anywhere (?) anymore. They might be able to view others' profiles undetected even when logged in.
