In the last few years a law was past authorising FEMA to force selected citizens into indefinite forced labor (slavery). In specific circumstances. There was no large scale discent. The Government authorizes the illegal abduction, incarceration and torture of proven innocent people. The 13th amendment only prohibits certain forms of slavery. It permits the perpetuation of others. Read the wording carefully. Convicted prisoners and even detained illegal immigrants labor is sold to business corporations as cheap labor. The prison population in the USA is growing and higher than that of entire continents outside of North America. Should people not campaign to force government to cease it's double standards and openly recognize consensual slavery of those who want and need to be owned chattels? Should there not be established a slave owner licensing authority and a slave registration authority? Should there not be licensed premises were consensual slaves can be auctioned to licensed owners after registering and then reporting to a center to be detained until auctioned? Slavery is something that cannot really be prevented it exists everywhere and some countries economies depend upon it. Governments worldwide pretend to make it illegal yet condone it's practice and even enslave people themselves. A case of we have power and you don't so we own slaves but you can't.

Wait? Are you referring to the "selected few" as prisoners? Being used to work for free?
They better be working for their room and board in prison!

I approve of this!

I mean, take the prisons in my country for example. They are not luxurious like US Prisons. I mean, they don't even get a bed or a pillow. No TV. It's just a thin straw mat on concrete floor. So accommodation is very uncomfortable. But two things can happen when you are in prison. You come out super buff and hot, free gym all day! I had a friend who spent 2 years in prison for drugs, skinny guy, came out a muscular hunk. There was nothing to do but work out.

Or, you can upgrade your education. You are allowed to continue education while in prison, and still get the degrees or masters or phd, whatever you need. So some people come out, better equipped with paper qualifications.

But no, it's not comfortable. And there is no freedom. And no luxury. And if they get the prisoners to work as well and be useful to society, it's all good things! And yes, they are slaves during the time of their sentence as they should be, until they meet finish their sentence and earn their freedom.

i agree the us prisons are too accomidating and the prisoners need to do more to pay for their incarceration as well as restitution. in some british jails the prisoners are required to have a job and work while returning to jail each night. i feel that the us could do much better having the prisoners sort trach to recycle and use the waste to heat the jails and the recycles to pay for the incarceration.

FYI . . . The OP is talking about JFK's Executive Order 11000 not Army Regulation 210–35 that permits the military to conduct civilian inmate labor programs. FEMA has nothing to do with prisoners.

It all started with Kennedy's Executive Order 11000 which allows FEMA to mobilize (non inmate) civilians into work brigades under government supervision. Extremists interpret this as the government having the right to assign (force) duties (labor) to citizens in a crisis. I've read the order and there is nothing about punishment if you refuse to work. So I just don't see the "force" that conspiracy theorists claim. If you are familiar with this, please link me to part where we are forced into slave labor, not just asked to help work in the recovery phase of a disaster under FEMA management and direction.

EO 11000 was revoked by Nixon with EO 11490. Executive Order 11490 (1969) calls for federal agencies (FEMA) to prepare plans for a state of emergency that would require "over-all civilian manpower mobilization programs" and related emergency measures.

In 2012 the order was consolidated into Obama's EO 13603. Executive Order 13603 provides the framework and authority for the allocation or appropriation of resources, materials and services to promote national defense. The Order updates long-existing directives that have been issued as far back as the Truman Administration and makes no claim to allowing the federal government to confiscate private property or declare martial law. In particular, this executive order removes the FEMA name from the previous orders, and replaces it with references to branches of the Department of Homeland Security, to bring the previous orders up to date with changes in the structure of the Federal Government.

So not only is the OP a victim of errant internet conspiracy theories, his complaint about FEMA is out of date and has been invalid since 2012. If only those damn conspiracy theorists would go to he source and read up on the Executive Orders at www.archives.gov, they could update their propaganda to include the Department of Homeland Security.

Just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get you... but know your enemy. You have a lot more to worry about from the Rothschilds (and a dozen others) than FEMA.

Actually it was to 'appropiate agencies.' Not until Jimmy Carter, also by EO. (12127) which combined all federal emergency agencies into one called FEMA.

Kennedy's EO: (b) Wage and salary stabilization. Develop plans and procedures for wage and salary stabilization and for the national and field organization necessary for the administration of such a program in an emergency, including investigation, compliance and appeals procedures; statistical studies of wages, salaries and prices for policy decisions and to assist operating stabilization agencies to carry out their functions.

(c) Worker incentives and protection. Develop plans and procedures for wage and salary compensation and death and disability compensation for authorized civil defense workers and, as appropriate, measures for unemployment payments, re-employment rights, and occupational safety, and other protection and incentives for the civilian labor force during an emergency.

Hardly slave labor. YES the Rothchilds and their army of 'followers' (enriched partners) that is the group to really fear.

^ Thanks for EO 12127 info. I thought Kennedy's appropriate agencies thing was only for the monetary aspects.

. . . and Rothchilds, what a bunch of fuckers they turned out to be. After taking over public transportation by ripping out all the trolley car tracks so GM (it was GM right?) they would us Rothchilds' gasoline, they systematically bought up or paid off medical schools to pervert the use of medicine to use their suppliers and steer away from natural cures/remedies. The shit they pulled off turns my stomach in anger.
