Hi everyone, I figured since I've told a couple people here I'd add more pics to my profile, I'd take advantage of today being Valentine's Day and post a pic pf a rose flogger I've been playing around with in my spare time and see what everyone thinks. I also put a journal entry in since I'm not 100% sure what works and what doesn't here. Please, if you check this post out, please leave a comment. Good. Bad. Indifferent. Something. Not everyone I know in my Vanilla life would be willing to comment or not ask what's "wrong" with me. I joined this site to talk to LIKE minded people so please say something. Thanks!

From the pic, they don't look bad. Of course, hard to tell the quality from the pic. The downside? It's already being done, so no corner on the market. On the other hand, I love what you've done with the handle for the purple and black floggers. That type of handle is great for those of us who do two-handled style of flogging, while being conscientious of the potential strain on the wrist. Points for creativity.

Thanks for the comments!! I have seen some others that were done, but the "roses" looked too flat, I was just playing around to see if I could make them LOOK like roses. As for the purple and black ones, thanks for the compliment :) I saw the handles and just kinds of knew what I had to do with those, unfortunately I can't find them any longer. The closest I can come looks like a twisted bar of wrought iron...I should have bought more than the two when I had the chance lol. Oh well story of my life

Ahuh Im loving the floggers. are they swivel action? ..the ornate handle is gorgeous is it a draw handle?, and wrist strain IS a huge issue for me, and with nerve damage in my elbow, they are good to build up with, without the strain .. The rose flogger, I had one back in the early 00s, and lost half the roses very quickly, but they doo look so purty., It looks good, but one suggestion, and its purely aesthetic for me is to finish the handle with a turks knot. Im a "picker" I would have the end off in a few days. I also like the head harness, is there a gag/ball/in the mouth? just my two cents:)

No, they don't swivel. That's something I should probably look into. Those roses aren't going ANYWHERE, lol, each fall runs up through the rose, is secured and then the petals are secured in that shape. I was concerned with them coming off myself so I made real sure that wasn't going to be an issue. I probably should have mentioned not only is it a prototype but it's an UNfinished protype, I usually do finish my floggers with what I call a turks head inspired wrap. Thanks for pointing that out, it gave me a chance to clarify that the pic is of an unfinished item. Last but not least there is what I call a soft pillow gag on the inside. That particular design came about as the result of a custom piece I made for someone who had TMJ and I just decided to leave the design as it was since TMJ wasn't something I was very familiar with. I'd want the roses to look like roses. However, I'd want a smaller handle for the piece. Something that size would strain my joints and from the picture implies weight. Great for the guys with bigger hands. Not so much for someone like me. For those of us who Florentine, swivels are kind of a big deal these days. Not just female tops, either.

Yep weight is important for me too, cos of wrist and elbow issues,Not to mention shoulders, i need oiling I swear it.

I would have thought a short a shorter handle would be more of an issue. I haven't weighed it but it's not all that heavy to be honest, but that's something I'll take into consideration as well. Like the saying goes, when all you have is a hammer...every problem looks like a nail. Having a penis, I didn't even think about something like that!

This may sound like a dumb question but do you have any idea what a "good" weight might be? I've made some braided cats that have a 7 inch handle as well with 16 inch tails/falls perhaps I should make some with shorter handles? Other than tail/fall length and handles I don't really know what I could do to lighten the weight up.

for me a handle that is too long is much more problematic, than a short one, at least with a short one, its in my hand, I have more directional accuracy and balance. I admit, I need to work out my arms more, im rusted

Lol trust me I know that feeling, seems like ever since I hit 40 I creak more than a loosely put togeter bed! Maybe I'll play around with a 4 inch handle.....

Well, you're a guy, so I forgive you. [;)] It's not the length. It's the width. The grip. I stand all of 5'2". It stands to reason that my hands are smaller than yours, so what's comfortable to me isn't the same as what's comfortable to you. A toy like that, you're marketing to both genders. In my opinion, a thinner handle would appeal to more women. You could always make both. [:)]

Ahhhhhh....duh! Didn't think about WIDTH! ( I know typical guy, it's all about the length lol) That has a 1" poplar core, then the handle leather is braided/wrapped around.
