I've also presented in several different states. GA, AL, SC, CA, AZ, AK, PA, and MD. I have turned down gigs in FL, NY, IL, and TX.

Clubs/Events. 1763, The Eagle, Atl, StudioErs, The Eagle, SF, DomConATL, Folsom St Fair, Northern Exposure, SELF, Winter Fire DO, CCPS, etc, etc, etc.

In short, people have seen me honey.

LP, we haven't met--yet--but I have seen the occasional That Girl rerun. Does that count?

But seriously, that's an impressive list. I've had the good fortune to meet some CM/CS/CC folks, but not on that scale.

I think my all-time best online-to-offline moment came when I was in the hospital in Philadelphia. A friend from here (whom I've yet to meet either) was in another hemisphere, but she roused a Philly friend of hers to come visit. I think my parents are still puzzling over that one. "Explain again, what's your connection to him?!"

I have a weird, magpie memory. I can remember snippets of old threads, asides from sermons (themselves forgotten) I heard in high school, and all manner of random facts. I just wish I could remember whether I used the insulin pen I'm holding in my hand to give myself a dose or if I still need to!

My best odd-memory moment came during yet another hospital stay. The umpteenth resident/student was doing my history, and I led him neatly through everything from tonsils (1971) to arm surgery (1992) to cancer complications (2014-15). When I'd finished, he threw me a puzzled look and glanced down at my chart.

Him: "Excuse me, sir, but your chart mentions lymphoma."

Me: "Oh, sorry about that! I always forget the indolent [essentially static] lymphoma somewhere in my chest."

Him: "I've never had a patient forget lymphoma before!"

Yes, I've met "Carol and her husband."

Yep, that really was me in the hottub. Yes, that was Steel holding my boobs for the "Keeping abreast of other threads" thing that ran for a long time. Later that day/evening was where the famous "this isn't the neighborhood for orgy noises after 10:00 PM" story came from.

Here's something most people don't know. Jeff and Carol share the same wedding anniversary date as MP and I. (Not the same year.)

I've seen more of the anteater than most people.

Did not get to meet in person. It wasn't intended. When we drove (yes, DROVE) from AK to here, we went through Chicago. The rain was coming down in torrents. Called Jefff, who agreed it wasn't a good time to meet for a beer, and we'd put it on the bucket list. (Maybe when the Cubs win the series.)

ETA - Domi once called me the only leather person he ever really wanted to meet. From Domi, that's a compliment.

I've met LadyPact. She did drip wax on me. It was heart shaped, if I'm not mistaken. It was at the end of the event, and she interrupted her cigarrette break for me. She was an incredibly warm and welcoming lady, and I'll never forget it.
