We can probably ditch 'hypothesis' as well since there doesn't seem to be a clearly stated question that would lend itself to rigorous, scientific investigation.

Peadophila is not age play. There is no gray area. It deals with children. This site has a zero tolerance policy when it comes to minors and peadophiles.

The definition of Peadophila is:
Pedophilia or paedophilia is a psychiatric disorder in which an adult or older adolescent experiences a primary or exclusive sexual attraction to prepubescent children, generally age 11 years or younger.[1][2] As a medical diagnosis, specific criteria for the disorder extend the cut-off point for prepubescence to age 13.[1] A person who is diagnosed with pedophilia must be at least 16 years of age, but adolescents must be at least five years older than the prepubescent child for the attraction to be diagnosed as pedophilia.[1][2]

TOS is Terms of Service - that you agree to when posting in the forms. The link is located at the bottom of the main page:

Reported
At the bottom of each post you will see a "Report" link in the lower right corner of the post next to the post #. This allows people to report posts that violates the TOS. At that point it goes to the Moderators who will review it and pull or correct the post as needed.

I disagree. I think that we have a responsibility to judge. If there is ever a lifestyle that leaves the field wide open for abusers and genuine scum-of-the-earth perverts to disguise their repulsive actions as 'kink', it is bdsm. If we don't police them, who will?

You are right, it is a legitimate question. Ageplay involves consenting adults. Pedophilia does not. People need to understand the difference between the two and make judgments based on that.

Hell, I don't understand some of the kinks that I enjoy. But I will participate in them every chance I get, in the pursuit of enlightenment. LOL

Status: offline 		To answer the original, I don't know if there is a "community" stance on darn near anything. If there is one I would hope it would be that we only engage in activities with adults. Yeah, kind of had to convince people of that when they don't know the difference.

Had it been me, I probably would have told people that if they were really interested in the topic, I'd have recommended a book by the title "Age Play: From Diapers to Diplomas". The book is all about how consenting ADULTS engage in age play. They can either read the information that's available that backs up your standpoint or not. If not, tell them they might be looking for a group called NAMBLA, rather than the majority of us who engage in BDSM. Throw in the line for the South Park fans about how it doesn't stand for the North American Marlo Brando Look A- likes. It will either diffuse the situation with levity or confuse folks that don't understand the South Park reference.

No, the first rule is not to avoid condemning the kinks of others. The first rule is not to condemn the kinks of others with the capacity to consent. That means we deal with adults who can legally make their own decisions.

As explained, ToS stands for Terms of Service. It means you agreed to certain terms to participate here. While I'm on the subject, the 'free speech coalition,' which is really the National Free Speech Coalition, (NFSC) doesn't have crap to do with what people write on message boards. It's a non profit trade association of the adult entertainment industry. It has nothing to do with 'please feel free to be an asshat'.
