Actually it is not weird. It is requiring a submissive to be "formal" in the sense of always on while the dominant is not bound by those same rules. It is a subtle aspect of mental dominance

M's view is that having a submissive is supposed to make his life easier, not add stress. Having to make my moment to moment decisions on top of his business and day to day life would just add to his stress level.

It's over 90F here in the northeast and humidity even higher.

Any formal dress code would quickly be changed into a hospital gown after you developed heat stroke.

Back to the story, I once had a wife my slave of some 40 years, was more than capable of managing her own attire, running a household, raising kids and so much more.
