My husband and I are exploring negative reinforcement for the sake of behavior modification. We have mostly explored positive reinforcement in the past, with my having my masochistic needs explored as a sort of reward for pleasing behavior.
My punishment experience lies somewhere between fantasy/roleplay to in scene, impromptu slaps and the like. One idea we like is writing different punishments down on cards to put in a box. I have several ideas ranging from mundane (corner time/ chores) to kinda fun (orgasm restriction/ rope harness under clothes in public)to extreme and unmentionable.
Dominant types: Do you utilize punishment? How? What kind? Why? To what end?
Submissive types: What sort of punishments would you expect to find in a box such as that? What sorts of punishments have you experienced? Were they effective?
Has anyone tried the box idea or similar variant?
What are some other ways one might encourage behavior modifications?
