The sheer gall of looney right wingers trying to position themselves as the best friend of women, queers and other minorities is amazing. It is a salient indicator of the contempt these people feel for women, queers and other minorities that they think their recent conversion to the cause of human rights is convincing, that they have any credibility on human rights issues.
This is the very same group that has resolutely opposed every measure designed to remedy the ill-treatment and abuse that those very same people have dished out to us since the year dot. Every single measure. Everywhere. No exceptions. An undiluted record of uncompromising blanket opposition to every measure everywhere. They are still at it today, trying to reverse the gains made by women queers and other minorities and fighting every new initiative designed to create a level playing field. One need look no further than this thread for confirmation of this. They are still insisting on their 'right' to discriminate against, marginalise, abuse, insult and incite hatred against TGs. In their minds, their 'right' to articulate and act out their hate is more important than others' human rights.
These same cretins and backwoodsmen are now claiming that they are more 'generous' to women queers and minorities than other groups of men elsewhere. We are not fooled by their recent conversion to human rights advocacy. We remember the way things were when they had all the power to themselves. Fuck their 'generosity'. We don't want it. They can stick it where the monkey stuck his nuts.
We want our rights, we want a level playing field we want what is due to us by right. No more and definitely, under no circumstances whatsoever, no less.
