Some White guys too, but if you saw a Black person other than Uhura the fucker was dead in less than an hour.

But then realize the times. some parts of this country were barely a decade out of legally enforced segregation, like bathroom and water fountains.

I never understood about the water fountains. I can almost understand about like restaraunts because there are some things I would rather not see when I eat. I don't agree, and people should not have been that way but for some of them they simply did not want to see any Black people. But a water fountain is designed so you don't get anyone else's cooties from it. It is not like you are drinking from the same glass or eating with the same fork, and you wouldn't do that with people of the same race unless they are family anyway.

Yup, White people did alot of stoooopid shit. And now there is a sort of backlash. Go figure.

I can put up with it to a certain extent but some people go too far.

It was not the color of their skin, it was the color of their shirt.

Of the 59 crew members killed in ST:TOS, 43 (73%) were wearing red shirts.

Redshirting is actually a well known science fiction trope at this point.

Red shirts were also a staple of National Geographic photos in the early days of color film. They stood out well.

It was even called the Red Shirt School of Photography.

Is it that damn simple? Do you really think taking away some ambiguous entity, dreamt up by those in academia, is simple? How can it be when it is defined in vague terms?

Despite steps made, how much progress towards equality between black and white can there be when a video such as this can be made?

Status: offline 		It never ceases to amaze me how leftists think it's okay to shame all white men for what a minority of white men may have done. But try doing that to blacks, asians, arabs/muslims, women, and you're an evil hating monster.

In the middle east, africa, and asia for example, there far more others compared to white men in this day and age who think women shouldn't have rights. There are far more others out there compared to white men who think gays should be punished. There are far more others out there compared to white men who think it's okay to treat minority races in their countries like crap.

Yet, it's so fucking strange how white men get criticised the most while ignoring the huge fucking elephant a 100 times bigger in the room.

It is a salient indicator of the contempt these people feel for women, queers and other minorities that they think their recent conversion to the cause of human rights is convincing, that they have any credibility on human rights issues.

This is the very same group that has resolutely opposed every measure designed to remedy the ill-treatment and abuse that those very same people have dished out to us since the year dot. Every single measure. Everywhere. No exceptions. An undiluted record of uncompromising blanket opposition to every measure everywhere. They are still at it today, trying to reverse the gains made by women queers and other minorities and fighting every new initiative designed to create a level playing field. One need look no further than this thread for confirmation of this. They are still insisting on their 'right' to discriminate against, marginalise, abuse, insult and incite hatred against TGs. In their minds, their 'right' to articulate and act out their hate is more important than others' human rights.

These same cretins and backwoodsmen are now claiming that they are more 'generous' to women queers and minorities than other groups of men elsewhere. We are not fooled by their recent conversion to human rights advocacy. We remember the way things were when they had all the power to themselves. Fuck their 'generosity'. We don't want it. They can stick it where the monkey stuck his nuts.

We want our rights, we want a level playing field we want what is due to us by right. No more and definitely, under no circumstances whatsoever, no less.

I did glance at the comments section, many of which were revealing even though they were also depressing. The sense of entitlement, of bitterness at the loss of what the self identified white men felt entitled to and their naked anger at anyone different is sad. Sad because the USA they feel they have lost was never theirs in the first place (much of it never existed outside their fantasies and the bits that were real were always owned by someone else - the 1%) and depressing because (i) they seem so closed minded that they won't ever allow themselves to realise this; and (ii) their palpable anger, which Trump is so cynically channelling as his ticket to the White House.

Sadly for them the numbers are on the other side - there are far more women immigrants queers people of colour and other minorities than there are angry white males, as Obama's election and re-election on the back of a coalition of such voters proved. Where will all that anger go when these losers realise that they have lost again, that Trump has dudded them as surely as Wall St makes money?
