The ones who feel discriminated need to help themselves, and reach out to fellow relevant discriminated parties and form their own organization.

How can you expect other people who will rather support causes more personal and relevant towards their own situation to support your causes? Or even bother with it?

The problem is, you are in a website where Straight White Males do not feel like they are being discriminated or Victimised at all. So you are solo here!

If other Straight White Males don't feel victimized or discriminated, then, they aren't gonna give a shit about how you feel, because, you guys are from the same group.

You need to reach out to other Straight White Males who feel as discriminated as you. And form your own support group. And hold conferences.

I'll basically say the same thing here that I said on that other site.

I always find it ironic when people decry sexism/racism with overtly sexist/racist statements.

ETA. Whose who claim that your skin must be a certain color for you to be a racist or you must have a certain gender to be sexist are no better than some cross burning sheethead in Stone Mountain, GA.

Not to mention SNOW. Probably the only place in the South where you are guaranteed snow every year. Between Thanksgiving and New Year's it is renamed 'Snow Mountain", and they keep it filled with snow and snow-related activities the whole time.

Took my kid one year, and when I told him it was time to go home, he ran and grabbed the nearest bench and held on tight wanting to stay. He isn't the dramatic type, so it must have been a stand-out weekend for him.

And we even managed to have all that fun without anyone making us salute the Stonewall carving on the mountainside. Go figure.

To give you advice based on the days I got out ...

Take the brat up to Ski Beech, etc. in the Boone Blowing Rock area in NC, but only if there's good snow.

Actually, I still get up there at least twice a year, just not counting on being able to ski when I go.

As usual, you don't quite have your facts straight, as it is only certain specific events where anybody is barred, and straight black women are barred from the LGBT event, and straight white women are barred from the ethnic minority event, and anybody who is not disabled is barred from disabled event.
Basically the "ban" applies only to those four events, one each exclusively for
1) LGBT (any colour, gender, and level of ability/disability allowed as long as they fit under the LGBT umbrella)
2) Women (any colour, orientation or level of ability/disability can attend as long as they are women)
3) Minorities (any minority person of whatever gender, orientation, and/or level of ability/disability can attend)
4) Disabled (any person with a disability may attend, regardless of gender, orientation or colour.
Why do you not actually read up to get the facts of the things you post about?

Now as to the whole affair, well it seems like a pretty stupid idea to me, I have never understood the point of barring people to create a "safe space". I can't think of any aspect of my life impacted by my status as a woman, a bisexual, or a minority (part Native) that I could not easily and comfortably discuss in a room with anybody else there with the intent to discus such issues. But hey, maybe my career has just made me more comfortable talking about shit with people of all descriptions.
