Well, the Uighurs are muslims speaking a Turkic language, they are also not Han-Chinese, they are also not happy that more and more Han are made to settle in Xinjiang, taking over jobs with better pay than they ever get. Do you really think religion is the problem there?

There is, however, a way to not exacerbate and expand the situation in 'unstable countries' in making them even more unstable by way of repeated invasions following 50 years of 'installing' dictators in same. However unstable India or Africa or S America or Asia or especially the Middle East might have been to begin with (and they were), they became immensely more so after 'Western influence.'

Nothing like rattling cages around the world to see how many coins fall out to make a bunch of Lords and Sirs and 400 acre mansions in Europe, or modern day heads of mega-conglomerate 'philanthropists' everywhere. At least it's not a complete dictatorship of either the Crown or their partnership Nobles anymore. They have majority shareholders to answer to nowadays. But ... that's been the last 100 years already, and not any noticeable improvement.

But, "government trying to take our rights away!" is the essential problem, right? Not the fact that they (the captains of industry!, who have made the armed services and the CIA into their bitches the entire time) have made the whole world so much more unstable in such a short amount of time, right?

I can almost half agree with you there. If only the arms manufacturers had supplied some Nigerian villages with the same firepower as they supplied the Chevron helicopter gunships and following hired armies that completely wiped them out. And I do mean completely.

But the fact that many in this country who feel that civilians are in need of more firepower are seemingly incapable of comprehending the cause/effect thing doesn't actually surprise me, nor does it do anything but make such predictable reactionary behavior amazing profits for all arms manufacturers, both sides of it.
