After my knee replacement surgery I had morphine, oxycodone pumping through my veins. Even though I felt stoned from the drugs the pain was so severe I stared at the ceiling all night. I guess the sleep inducing effect depends on how extensively the surgeon sliced (and sawed and hammered) you up.
Actually I'm not sure it was Morphine now. I assumed it was but I was listening to something on the radio and it was talking about how doctors over here use a mixture of Pethidine and Ketamine. =\ Apparently the first one is the sleepy one and it's also what killed MJ.
