1) A pretty girl tells you that she will give you a blow job to wake you up in the mornings and your reply is "You better bring me a cup of coffee first."
2) You get into arguments with your dog about how you feed, water and clean up after them and they wont even turn on the coffee pot
3) You have more coffee cups than plates and bowls combined
4) Your monthly grocery list starts with coffee and coffee related items
5) A pack of 200 coffee filters lasts less than a month
6) You know every possible substitute for coffee filters.
7) You own more than 2 coffee pots, as well as 2 coffee decanter warmers
8) When power is out, you call the electric company complaining because you cant make coffee
9) You have set up 6 pots worth of coffee in filters to have ready so you are covered till noon.
10) A standard 12 cup coffee maker only makes 3 of your coffee cups worth of coffee

Don't have a dog but our savannah cat sits on the counter next to the coffee machine waiting for her brekky at stoopid o'clock in the morning.
So no real hardship to press the button while I'm stood there.

We'eve got a matching 100-piece dinner set and we re-use the same mugs most times.
Don't bother with the fiddly little cups that came with it.

Those days are looong gone!
But given the number of pots we drink, 200 would barely last 2 weeks here.

Our machine doesn't even have a decanter.
Put mug under machine and press against the dispensing lever; leave until mug is full.
But we do have 2 identical machines [:D]

We have a spare caraffe.
We also have a gas cooker.
So boil a saucepan of water and make the coffee in the caraffe instead.

2 identical machines on the go at the same time - don't need paper filters.
One brewing while the other is being used.

We can just about get 4 mugs if we make sure its really full to the 12-cup mark.

Dude, contrary to all my protestations against it, we live in a totally electric home.

Now granted, I do have an old style, campfire percolator style coffee pot which can be used on the grill outside.

And on the other property, solar and wind generation units have been installed as soon I had finished the roof renovations. Now, there is a 1000 gallon propane tank for heating and cooking when the remodel/renovation reaches that stage.

Now, the home being remodeled also has 3 wood stoves (antique cast iron) for heating as well as one cast iron wood burning cook stove that I estimate weighs at least 1000 pounds but probably as much as a 64 Chevy.

however, it is unfortunate that coffee plants will not grow in west texas.
