Profile not found - 8/21/2016 9:29:10 AM

Status: offline 		When I try to send a PM, I get an error message "Profile not found". I wrote a message about it to the support.

Anyone any idea?

Status: offline 		Possibly because the person you're trying to message has you blocked or they've hidden their profile.

Status: offline 		Incorrect. I've been experiencing the same problem trying to PM people with visible profiles, including those I've had conversations with in the past. I even started a brand new test account, and tried PM'ing it, and PM'ing myself from it, just to receive that same message on both accounts. I know my privacy settings allow all messages to get through, so it's clearly a system issue.

Also, in my experience, it's still possible to PM a hidden account, if you have a message from them that you can reply to, but that's outside the scope of this thread. :)

Messages can still be sent to and from hidden profiles. If you are blocked, you will get specific notification that the mail was rejected because you were blocked. The only way you should get the 'profile not found' is to do something that causes the browser to try to reload a profile that is now hidden.

Thank you BBWDomme4Gals for commenting with the steps you used to recreate the problem. I too created another account PM'ing as you did.

Thank you to everyone for your responses. With all due respect, I have experienced this same problem with people who I know have neither blocked their profile from me personally or have gone on hidden status.

I wrote to support asking if they had done something to my profile (thinking perhaps I had violated some rule?) but have not yet received a response. Even though I would wish no one to have this problem, I am grateful that others have seen what I've seen and are commenting.

Thank you to all.

Perhaps it is another sort of technical snafu. If so I hope that it gets fixed soon (yes, I'm not holding my breath LOL).

Status: offline 		It happened to me when I messaged someone from my "Who is viewing me" list. When I opened the profile itself (not possible if hidden I guess) or from the "Quick message" window I could send the message. Has been so for a few days, only recently.

Status: offline 		The problem can sometime occur if you or your household has multiple accounts using same computer. Try logging out, clearing the web browser cookies, exiting the browser then logging back in.

You can also try a different web browser. Not all web browsers work well with CS

Not guaranteed to fix your problem, but it does occasionally help solve some cookie issue related problems.

Regarding the OP I havent had the need to message anyone, but there are definite signs of movement. support is responding, there is a moderator for the chatrooms, and things are changing (good or bad).
Im hopeful...

came back and are trying to fix this, along with the picture problems.
so C/S is working and its free, altho I keep suggesting to the owners,
they should make a charge, for genuine users. Terri. xx

Will that actually WORK? What brand potato masher are you using??

BTW, not having a picture does not make a person a fake. Many people on sites like this have good reasons not to post identifiable photos of themselves.
