Alright, you do sorta have to be a sci fi aficionado to remember most of these, but....

Max Headroom
Space Above and Beyond
Man From Atlantis
Quark
Earth Two
Lexx
Defying Gravity
Firefly

There are others, some good, some bad, and of course there are those that just made the pilot tv movie and died.

Max Headroom I remember the show, but I did not watch it much.

Earth Two Vaguely

Lexx Who can forget the suits she wore?

Firefly Actually in the process of watching it for the very first time. Phenomenal show. The writing is superb and the acting was fantastic. No wonder it got canceled.

The first question I would ask is why would anyone WANT to remember them?

.....but since you have reminded me.....yes I remember them.....never watched any of them......the only trivia I can offer is that Matt Frewer was the real life person playing the stuttering flickering head (yeah TV commercials is the only reason I remember that)

....and Bobby Ewing (Patrick Duffy) was the Man from Atlantis.....Ok I watched one episode of that and said no thanks....

Some of them were good, Firefly for one.

Max Headroom I watched when it first showed in the UK. Been a fan of Matt Frewer since.
I loved him in Eureka, did anyone watch that? Eureka I thoroughly enjoyed.
Firely I loved.
Altho nathan fillion is a dork.
I know I watched above and beyond, but it doesnt register much, same as man from atlantis, I watched purely for patrick duffy but then grewup.
Lexx I enjoyed.
THe only quark I remember was from DS9

Got Firefly and the movie Serenity in my DVD collection.

Just have to hook the player back up to the TV or just wake up my computer and watch them on here.

Lucy, Quark lasted about 4, maybe five episodes and then died a very quick death.

Basically, it was about a crew of an intersteller garbage truck.

I was never very taken with Lexx: I'm not having a science fiction series where the badass character is a goth. What the hell was that about? (Incredibly that was the daftest thing in that series, no mean feat when you look at some of the rest of it...)

Firefly's pretty great. Haven't seen Earth II, Quark or Defying gravity. Space Above and beyond was utter pants. I vaguely remember the Man From Atlantis, but I don't think it was half as good as The Six Million Dollar Man or the Incredible Hulk.

As for Max Headroom: the original television film is great, but I was never very impressed by the televsion series that was spun off from it for the American market. The most interesting thing about that is the way it shows just how quickly the '80s cyberpunk thing got reduced to a collection of cliches.
Did any of the clips of Max doing links on late night pop music shows ever make it to the 'States, or did you only see Frewer doing his thing as part of a drama?

Lucy, was Eurka that kids' science and history programme that had Wilf Lunn and Sylvester McCoy on it a lot?

No but I know the one you mean WM:) the Eureka I am talking about lasted five seasons, Its basically a town built by the government inhabited by the smartest people in the country building futuristic inventions.
Heres the link to it.....http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0796264/

It was a drama/comedy/scifi that I thoroughly enjoyed

You are talking the old hulk yes,, lou ferrigno? heh yeah that was not bad, altho I got sick of the 6 million dollar man, he always looked as if he had something stuck between his butt cheeks.

I still play "paranormia" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YubzvkNh77w
But yes the film was good:)

Defying Gravity didnt even make a full season on ABC before it was killed, showed some promise but....

Now, Max Headroom had some good points and some bad ones, mostly it was about a dystopian future where the TV networks ran the planet, and the person in charge was picked by ratings.

As far as the six million dollar man, well, I always wanted to see him trip at 60 miles an hour.

Yep, the proper one.
(I loved that they gave him a cameo in the Ed Norton film.)

As far as forgotten SF goes, how long did Salvage-1 last? I remember seeing precisely one episode of that when I was a kid and liking the look of it...

Salvage one lasted about two seasons, I think. I mean after the ice berg episode I kinda lost interest, although it got pretty stupid after the "Lets drop high explosives in a dead oil well to get oil" episode as well.

It's weird Central only ever seemed to screen one episode, once, then. You'd think if it lasted a couple of seasons they'd have pulled out a load more than that.
(Mind you, they used to trot out all sorts of weird crap to plug holes in schedules: I remember watching Death Race 2000, the original '50s Thing From Another World and the George Sanders Portrait Of Dorian Grey in the kiddie film afternoon slot during one school holiday. Came as quite a jolt mixed in with '70s Children's Film Foundation nonsense...)
