The good news is that AR's and other similar guns are dirt cheap now and Reno is flooded with people stocking up on magazines and ammo. California is really good to its neighboring states sending them all this business.

The legislation essentially outlaws any centerfire and some rimfire weapons. Ablight at great expense any barrel, magazine, welded/bolted stock can be modified to exceed the requirements outlined. Therefore since it is possible to make the modification, they are all illegal.

We had a housing area that was not on base. Since the military rented the entire area they had juristiction over the area. Since it wasn't actually on the base so did the city police. Dude batf ruled a long time ago that any weapon that can be modified to fire full auto is illegal. You can find a pretty good discssion of this in the american rifleman. This regulation limits gun owners to muzzel loaders. That is a federal reg and not a california statute.

So you are saying that magazines and barrels can not be extended? That stocks can not be removed and modified? And I wasn't talking about fully automatic weapons. But for your information you can get a permit for them. Lots of requirements but if you meet those requirements you can own and possess fully automatic weapons.
