Im sorry that you think that I was trying to convince everyone to have sex with someone who has HSV and accept the risk. My number one concern has always been about my potential partners comfort level, even if it was just to play at the dungeons without sexual contact. If someone is uncomfortable with my status, I would never try to convince them otherwise. I apologize for that. My ultimate goal would be to find another Herpster have fun with. Deep down I was hoping my honesty on my profile and this post might draw another Herpster out of hiding and make contact with. I know not many people want to talk about STIs. But I have to say that by your own admissions, many of you engage in risky sexual activities. If you didn't, their would be any need to get STI screenings every 3-6 months, now would you? You get tested to confirm that you made the right decisions, and as some said, you got "lucky" you didn't catch anything. I would imagine that's the way all of you feel when you get you results back, and when they are negative, you feel lucky and relieved that you didn't catch anything this time. That was the point I was trying to make, unless you know 100% certain that the partner that you're having sexual contact with is clean, their is always a chance of catching not only herpes, but something else. Then their wouldn't be a need for any STI screenings if you weren't sure, right?

No, we don't 'feel lucky', that's where you are dead wrong. Aaand, we weren't saying that you tried to '...have sex with someone who has HSV and accept the risk' either. What we railed against was your adamant and somewhat flippant attitude that herpes was something very minor. Even with this last post, you are still trying to portray it as such by deflecting. This is where your whole attitude is completely ass-about-face. Most of us play safe, not dabble in a russian roulette of STI's. Your whole approach to herpes just stinks and puts people's backs up. It is NOT something to make light of and most people don't.

Most of you play safe? That's my point, the hypocritical attitude you have. Most of you MAY play as safely as you can, but you still might catch something from a partner that may not have been totally honest, or may not have known he/she had anything to begin with. Then why are you getting tested for STIs every 3-6 months? For reinsurance that you didn't catch an STI!

Just don't be hypocritical and naive about how you're taking risks, but you're bashing me for being open and honest. As I said if you're not comfortable with me for whatever reason, I'm okay with that. Nine out of ten women will NOT play with me, but I'm looking for the ONE that will. I don't need to convince her to play with me. She can decide on her own what's she's comfortable with. How does honesty make me dangerous? Everyone has this information at their fingertips, whether she want to inform herself before she decides if she want to start a relationship with me, or just to do some research about STIs for herself.

I never said you specifically, I said some of you are. When people get tested for STIs every 3-6 months, they must be doing something risky, or they wouldn't get tested so often

We get tested because a LOT of the medication for STI's conflict with the medications we already take. What a self-opinionated asshole.
