I was going to join a local club of Protagonists. . . . but they keep arguing about a meeting date !!

I was going to join the local Rageaholics Recovery Group, but was arrested on the way over there for shooting at guy who cut me off in traffic.

I was on my way to join my local ADD support group, but got distracted and went to the post office/grocery store/pet shop/coffee shop/drug store instead.

It's not a "club", per se, but I was going to join a gym, but I collapsed under the weight of the obligation.

I was actually a member of our local Archaeological Society, but didn't dig it !

When I lived near RACEWAY PARK (It's in Old Bridge, NJ), I joined the racing club, but it was a drag.

There was a local Bankers Club, but it had to disband due to the declining interest rate.

I heard of a local "Dear Hunting" club, so went down there in search of a sweetheart. I was so dismayed to learn that it was a "Deer Hunting" club and they went out and shot animals!

Tried to join the local Exercise Club, but they did not agree with my idea of exercise. They told me reaching for the remote and doing elbow bends to get the bon-bons from the plate to my lips were not valid forms of exercise! The nerve!

I just joined a religious group that goes bungee jumping, mountaineering and sky-diving.

They're called the Seventh-day Adventurists.
