Forgot to add:

Does not grow old after hitting maturity.

and the reason is simple, after a life time that included jumping out of perfectly good airplanes, I wake up in various degrees of pain depending on the weather conditions.

YourSincereSlave -> RE: Wanted: New body (9/14/2016 9:31:03 AM)

I'll just take disease proof. :P

Not sure why you'd need bullet proof to jump out of airplanes, but I guess it can't hurt (literally).

WinsomeDefiance -> RE: Wanted: New body (9/14/2016 9:39:36 AM)

Yes, getting old sucks - it does beat the alternative, however.

ShaharThorne -> RE: Wanted: New body (9/15/2016 5:04:16 AM)

I'm with Jeff here on this one...my body is ready to give up the ghost.

Baldrick -> RE: Wanted: New body (9/15/2016 5:09:44 AM)

I would take a new body... One with a few less scars, I'm reasonable shape and two fully functioning kidneys

The alternative of being dead?

There are a few trains of thought on this.

One, death is merely a change of your state of existence.

Since energy cannot be destroyed, the energy that makes up your mind would continue after your body quits.

There is the thought that we keep coming back in new bodies till we get it right.

Then there is the idea that once dead, we are nothing.

Of course, there is the fact that the body technically renews itself as it ages. However, after an arbitary point in life, the cells that replace dead cells are flawed, due to an inherent genetic anomaly that leads to cell mutation.

Some biologists have stated that there really is no sound reason for this to happen.

There is also the common thread among the flood myths.

Prior to the great flood, humans lived hundreds to thousands of years.

After the flood, nope.

Nope, you are young, get old and your body gives you hell for all the crazy things you did when you was young.

WickedsDesire -> RE: Wanted: New body (9/15/2016 1:35:10 PM)

There are no genuine women on here to gurgle my ock
They should ashamed..let us see what cok gurglers are here – present thyself to me mad bints

MrRodgers -> RE: Wanted: New body (9/15/2016 1:51:14 PM)

I'd settle for a few good organs to last me a 'lifetime.'

But yes, the 20's sound good, you know when real men were faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, (sorry to see that one go) and leaping tall subs and bar stools...in a single bound.

Yep, those were the days my friend...those were the days.

rednightowl -> RE: Wanted: New body (9/18/2016 5:35:56 PM)

I'd like a new body as well. Maybe taller, model like, not too busty. Made to order. :)

Cell degradation is linked to teleomeres. As we age, it tends to shorten. They've looked into it. Telomeres shorten over a number of replications. But cancer cells don't have that problem. So, perfection is somewhere in the middle. Lifestyle, diet, and likely some other unknown factors play a part in how much the telomeres shortens from person to person. Have you heard of Blue Zones? Areas where people generally live longer and age better.

And before the flood, earth was a very different place. :)
Imagine how overpopulated the earth would be now if everyone lived to 1000 years?

But I do wish I had a better body. [:)]

Find Empowered Sustenance on Instagram. (Or other social media sites, but Instagram has these statements I'm going to talk about right up front on the screen.) She posts certain statements that really do capture how I now view by body as I grow older. Like "Loving my body unconditionally attracts people who love me unconditionally" and "I can love this body even though I am afraid to trust it." (She battles chronic illness - I know that's not quite what you're referring to.) I just really like her - she seems so grounded at a young age and has a very healthy respect for her imperfect body.

My experience is that it does, indeed, get better. I mean, my body is falling to pieces a little bit, sure. I've got a condition, but lots of people at my (*cough*) age have something or another. But I also trust and listen to and respect my body much more than I did 20 years ago. My body, itself, may be less perfect these days, but my relationship with my body is so much stronger than when I was younger.

Tangelo -> RE: Wanted: New body (9/21/2016 5:06:48 AM)

When I start having cardiac problems, I would like my heart replaced with that of a turtle.

I may not then be able to walk as fast, but I sure will live a lot longer !

It's not the years, it's the mileage.

jlf1961 -> RE: Wanted: New body (9/24/2016 10:14:58 AM)

I have changed the specs desired.

I want a two armed version of a Kelvessian body.

Bone structure based on iron, not calcium
Natural ability to see full spectrum from infrared to ultraviolet.
Natural ability to reroute blood flow from damaged blood vessels.
natural ability to deal with temperatures of space for limited amounts of time (up to 10 minutes)
Natural body fat index of .02 percent.
Natural ability to regulate body temp.
Natural ability to calculate trajectories, impact force, range to target and all other ballistic variables to 10 decimal places.
Natural punch force to punch holes through 1/4 inch steel without breaking bones.
Natural ability to withstand up to 15 g accelerations for extended periods.
