And everyone that knows me understands that can be a dangerous thing, especially when I have been going on little or no sleep, which is the case at this point.
However, the big story in Space Science is a Mars Mission.
There are a lot of problems with every one of the current plans, so we need someone that can whip everyone in to shape and get a working space craft design that will accomplish the mission AND most importantly, keep the crew alive and comfortable.
So, we need a good mission coordinator who can make people toe the line.
So after careful consideration, I figure a two person team to pull it off.
So, Lady P and Lucylastic would fit the needs of the mission.
Not only would they get everyone on the same track (some of those geeks at JPL and Nasa might actually enjoy the punishments) but they would keep it on budget.
As far as a ship design, there are actually 3 in existence, albeit in Hollywood that Neal Degrasse Tyson actually thinks may just do the trick, the ship used in Mission to Mars, the ship design for Red Planet and the Hermes from 'The Martian.'
Forget the current NASA design, basically it gives a crew of five a total living space that is actually smaller than a small apartment in New York city.
Musk actually does not have a design, so we cant really say anything about that.
Now for the crew make up.
For mission commander, I would say Wicked Desire would fit the bill, or perhaps Gauge.
For pilot/navigator I could do the job if I were younger, since I have actually handled 30 meter sailing and motor vessels, and a space craft is basically like a boat and the navigation can be done with a sextant. But I am too old for the job, so....
Any volunteers?
As for the crew, they would have to be versed in geology, botany, electronics (need a techy)
Personally, I feel a crew who are into the BDSM lifestyle would be best, aside from the discipline they would all be just crazy enough to do some experiments that NASA might not approve of, but need to be done.
