Indianapolis requires 600 hours or 16 weeks of training for a basic certificate, followed by 52 weeks of probationary patrol with a training officer. Once you pass your probation time there are further training classes you must take to further your career.

That is all it takes to be a mall cop?

I use full powered hornady critical defense.
And when I shoot at twenty paces, an etreme range for a gunfight, I don't miss.

Not a good enough shot to use fmj[8|]
Jesus you are phoquing stupid.

I hate to get into this because it's a stupid OP and a stupid debate, but, I'd like to point out its phoquing stupid to take FMJ or TMJ to any place but the range.

I took .45 fmj to cuba, columbia, viet nam, cambodia, laos and a few other places. No one I ever shot with it ever got up to tell me that it was only for use at the range.

You took it those places because of the Geneva Convention treaties. Had you had a choice you'd have taken something else. I've never seen a Vet on the range load up ball in the carry magazine as they're about to leave the range. Of course, being a frugal guy, maybe you do. Tell me now, do you load ball in your personal defense guns when you're not at the range?

I wonder, firearms expert that he claims to be, does he know that there are two reasons to use hollow points?
A They leave more of their energy in the target because they are far more likely to stay in the target than ball ammo.

Far more likely??? By how much? How much of the body has bones in it? If .45 ball hits you in the bone how much of that bone is driven through the flesh befor it exits?

B They are less likely to go through the target and injure an innocent person.

How many innocent persons are standing behind the person being shot?
If you will be killed by a honda running over you how much more dead will you be if you are run over by a peterbuilt?
Jesus you are phoquing stupid.

This from someone who will not spell out "fucking" yet will take the name of the "lord" in vain. Also who doesn't want to be bothered with capitalizing proper nouns.

A Honda has alot more agility and if the driver is alert and competent he can usually avoid hitting you, the Peterbuilt cannot.

I want to meet you in a bar motherfucker.

In the 70's the Phoenix PD went to hollow points (They were using .38 specials at the time) becouse a round went through a felon, 4 or 5 blocks down the street, through a wooden fence and killed a 70 year old woman in her back yard. With hollow points the chance of that are much slimmer, than with ball ammo.

Termyn8or -> RE: GUNS AND THE USA. HA HA (10/9/2016 6:22:10 PM)

Actually Bama, while I advocate very loose restrictions on what you can have in the city, I do advocate restrictions on what you can shoot in the city. I think hollow points should be required. First of all the hurt more, and they don't go through usually, as long as you hit your target.

I traded off my SKS because of that. Takes 7.62 X 39 and they were copper clad and pointy. I thought "I can't shoot this thing in the city, it might kill some kid three streets away". Plus the fact that a blunt round or hollow point does more damage to the thug you want to damage.

The gunophobes/hoplophobes do not understand that this is not fucking around. I'd like to have poison bullets. Some time ago I heard about smearing them with garlic oil and that makes some type of blood poison but I never confirmed it nor tested it.

I agree it is irresponsible to use ball in town, even if you can blow a named toe off a runnng man using a .22 long rifle.

Out of twenty thousand posts you have put out maybe a dozen cites and you have the fucking gall to demand them from others when you have perfectly good access to search engines on the internet, like Google for example.

And if you knew anything you would know that many big city police departments have gone to hollow points, for pretty much the reasons I stated.

In Denmark, Police Training has just been reduced from 4 to 2 years.

The police is paid for and maintained by the state(country)
There is NO police other than the one maintained by the state.
No funny university or private or corporate police corps.

The only ones carrying guns are the police and a few criminals.

In Denmark shootings are uncommon, except among people comming from.outside of Denmark.
People in Denmark arr taught to respect each other, and doesn't find the need to go killing each other.

That's because in Denmark they're too busy making excellent microphones from Brüel & Kjær and DPA, and world class phonograph cartridges from Ortofon, including the most excellent SPU series!

Nn, it is obvious to the intelligent that law is not "one size fits all". You see that and I see that.

In places like Chicago, Detroit and New York, they should give away guns for free to any law abiding Citizen. One group actually did that. New York told them they would not be allowed in the city. Even though they did a background check they were told not to do it. Apparently New York wants the criminals to have the upper hand. Well that makes them ore money, justifies a bigger budget.

There are places in California where they fine you if your grass is brown and they fine you if you water it. So now there are companies that come out and paint your grass green. Where in the fucking Constitution is that authorized ?

This is what people miss. The sole source of government power is the Constitution, and of course the consent of the governed. But that does not extend farther than that. And the reason this is a republic is so that your neighbors can't vote to gang bang your Wife on Thursdays and tell you what color to paint your house.

T^T

There is no intelligent entity amongst you, with the one size mentality , non existent of objective perception.
None of you lot have importance in reality, Am I clear.

What is clear is that you can't prevail intellectually so this sort of thing is your ultimate recourse.

The population of Denmark is smaller than some individual cities in this country. Until recently it was homogenous. So I guess having the government teach everyone to respect each other just isn't as offensive there as it is to others. Personally, I don't want my government deciding what to teach people.
