I never even mentioned you should "get glasses", I only gave MY opinion, and MY view. I care not whether you agree but

if you can't accept that others may have differing opinions than your own than you shouldn't be posting them.

I've noticed this. When I was in my teens and twenties, women 40 and up all looked really old.

LOL this is the same way I felt about men! I used to think (when I was 20-22), I need to get married before 30 because after that the men get old!

In regards to the original question, I think much has to do with sun prevention, anti-smoking awareness, preventive maintenance such as facials, moisturizers,,, and the fact that, life used to be HARD!! A 50 yr old women in the 50s had been through (likely) multiple pregnancies, lack of proper nutrition as we know it now (how many lived on grapefruit and cigarettes?), housework and childcare that took majority of time so little "free" time to vacation or exercise.

All the cake just goes onto my belly now. Just more of me to love. Heretics will reply still one too many.

Someone on here (greta75 I think fek) got me thinking, do some women (& men) get better looking with age.

Short story time
I noticed lot of women on sites state they get told they look younger and they actually believe that I have seen many my age with filters set for 20-40 ( I don’t like inequality of any format – that’s free will I suppose). Sometime I ask these women has anyone actually honest told you this). And who is telling you this and why. But women are conditioned to an extent that eternal youth is programmed into them and to be less is to be ejected by all of society.

Sometimes If I am talking to a women I will say she has aged like a fine wine (is this an insult women?)

I personally think more men look better with age than women. All the man I ever been with, when they show me their 20 yr old photo, compared with their 50 yr old self now. They are sooo much hotter now! Maybe also because I like big guys. When they are 20, they are skinny. And now much older and fuller body, they are so hot!

If ya look at hollywood, so many female celebrities uses so much artificial product to pro-long their looks, but many failed to keep looking great. Some people aging badly are like Britney Spears, Pamela Anderson, Janice Dickinson, Renee Zellweger, Courtney Cox, Cameron Diaz etc.
I don't know if it's plastic surgery go wrong or whatever! But they all look weird now compared to their 20's.
The men, most of them, keep looking better.

Doesn't feel like a compliment. Works better to say that about a man. Horrible to hear that about a woman.
But I am experimenting if constant orgasms can give you natural eternal youth lol. I guess I will know eventually.

My grandma birth 10 children, is a housewife. Husband died of cancer young, leaving her with 10 young kids, no education, not even able to speak English to support, so she gotta work, raise 10 kids, single handedly, and basically, no time to up keep herself. I have never seen her attempt to beautify herself.

But I gotta say, I think youth is just genes. I always felt, she looked good for her age. Even at 70. But maybe I am bias. Just awed at any woman who birth 10 kids. But my great grandma was even worst. She birth 27 kids! With all their fertility, it's amazing I have not gotten myself knocked up ever.

You would have to be very proud of your Grandma and Great Grandma.

It was lovely to hear about them.

Actually, especially my crazy great grandma, I was like asking WTF!!! She must have been pregnant every year for 27 years!!! No twins.
Haven't they heard of birth control!!!??

A current colleague of mine which is very rare for women today, dreams of having like an whole army of children too. At the moment she is aiming for 6 and have already pop out 3.

I just can't understand it. I understand wanting kids. I don't understand wanting massive amounts of them! Lol! How does one woman possibly give them all equal attention.

I feel like a very old elephant indeed if people are talking about Salma Hayek as a cougar.

'Chooks' are chickens. . .and Helen Mirren much too old for the "Red" movies. ..definately too old and DEFINATELY

out of place in action movies.

Too old for action movies? Seems like the star of probably the most successful action movie franchise of all time disagrees with you.

And yes, she was cast for it.

And you posted a response.

I didn't instruct you to not post an opinion of whatever sort. That wasn't in the OP.

In any event, the commentary of Helen Mirren being described as 'Smokin' Hot' was to purpose of rhetorical hyperbole, something which I have lately come to now know as being a foreign concept to at least some from across the pond.

I don't go for the Penthouse/Playboy/Sports Illustrated bikini issue of what is 'hot' or not, and I miss no opportunity in eye-poking thereby.

Tangelo -> RE: Women turning 40, and being gorgeous (10/23/2016 5:44:02 PM)

If you actually READ what I said, you would observe at no time have I ever said you "need glasses" !

I did, however, "suggest a visit to your optometrist". There is a difference.

Now that has been clarified, I should also correct your assumption that I am from "across the pond". I am not, but I find
your attitude toward the people from "across the pond" quite amusing.

But that's only MY opinion, of course.

Seriously dude. You suggested OP go get his eyes checked because he does not need glasses in your estimation?

All of this backpedaling since then sounds like one punk[ass] move after another.

It is likely that your ancestors were originally from across the pond before colonizing Oz. So were many of ours.
It is about an endearing a term as our getting called Yanks. Some of us have a Yankee heritage, and some of us do not.

The difference he has balls to stand behind his opinion and you don't. You should look into picking up a prescription for these:
