So I bought of pair of nipple clamps, first time, because I was curious. Holy shit they hurt. I never tried clamps before or experimented at all with them. But now I love them. I use them quite a bit in short bursts. I got so comfortable once I even fell asleep for about 20 mins so. After awhile the pain starts to numb and I'm wondering what will happen if I leave them on for a long time (over an hour) any ideas?

If you leave nipple clamps or anything that restricts blood flow for more than 15 to 20 minutes you risk nerve damage.

I remember a young male submissive who wrote to the forum many years ago. He'd played with at Female Dominant he really didn't know well. She'd put clamps on his nipples for a long time. He wrote that after several months his nipples were still numb and had little feeling. She had damaged him permanently.

To follow up with what peppermint was saying, not only could you cause permanent injury to nerves but a loss of blood flow over a significant period of time could cause tissue to become necrotic.

LOL when I first started exploring with bdsm, I bought some and tried them out myself without having any idea what to expect The pain that came when I took them off was shocking. I had no clue. The first time I told someone that they laughed their ass of at me. But you are right, holy shit they hurt, esp if you are not expecting it.
